Why do all topics to be posted have to go through the moderators first before they could appear on the main forum?

I realise there is a need for control but at the same time, there is no way to know what passes the moderators' fancy. The topics that may not be of interest to the moderators may be incredibly riveting to others.

So instead of acting with impunity with regards to what goes and what doesn't, why not move a topic if it's not deemed fit for discussion elsewhere.

dont worry, nothing like that has happened.

in fact, this screening process has keep the RWI cleaner and more organised, and keep non-genuine RWI regulars/spammers away from simply creating irrelevant/useless/non-ethical/crap topics.

i have posted a couple of topics in the past that were as far away from "spam" as humanly possible. miraculously, they never got past moderators censorship, and of course, no reason whatsoever was given.

if you were to keep the forum clean/organised/etc, why not delete what you feel is inappropriate rather than carrying out first-degree iron-fisted filtering?

cause it is easy

moderator is not paid to monitor 24/7 of any thread opened

it is much easier to filter out the problem ones before releasing to the masses..

one thing though,

i would recomend the mod that rejected the topic, to inform the TS on the reason why
or atleast create a list of the rejected (with reasons) to inform the TS as well as future references

The reason behind the moderator preview is because there was once upon a time when we received heaps of rubbish threads which were inciting hatred and flames and all other vile posts. Even till today, quite a few threads haven't been approved because they are rubbish.

If you feel your thread should have been approved but was not, do PM MayAnne or a Staff member or myself 24 hours after you posting the thread.
