hey evryone, another perdana owner here. another previous member of v-sixers too. so hello to all seniors frm v-sixers, i knw there's sum here. anyway i'v been driven 3 batch of perdana in my life including SEI and V6 and Enhanced. =pI'm not sure if it is possible.

btw milener, wira 1.6 gearbox in totally da same as perdana SEI gb. da only thing da diff frm 1.6 and 2.0 perdana SEI gb is da torque converter which convert engine torque to gb turning power output and oso slightly diff in housing bt dis doesn't matter.
1st, how to diffretiate it. it got da code written/prited on da torque converter. etc like: KV, B5, B6, 1F, 3F.....
diff displacement of engine uses diff torque converter. if i'm not miztaken perdana SEI uses KV.
da 2nd thing diff frm 1.6 and 2.0 perdana gearbox is nt da gearbox itself but its da GEARBOX ECU. and dis will result in either pwr/eco for 1.6 and auto/hold mode for 2.0 perdana to function diffrently. and as u said perdana auto cruise is linked to dis ECU and 1.6 didn't. and yea, fuzzy logic its a fully computerize chip dat found in perdana. imagine perdana 1995 oredi got dis technology and yet nw hyundai/kia only started to hv dis technly. even new honda car got dis technoly if i'm not miztaken.new avanza oso got dis function. giv a claps to ourselve as a perdana owners. =p

fuzzy logic is a system specially design for panic free... dis system will automatically feels da road condition as well as da car load weight as well as da car speed to engage da most suitable gear position for da driver.
for example, lets say if u'r on da way cumin down frm a hill.. when ur right foot is nt on da fuel pedal, u'll feels sum engine braking rite? and da car wont go further faster unless u press da pedal. dis is da hard work dat da fuzzy logic did. its uses engine braking to maintain da car speed insteed of u urself using brake to slow down da car. nt like other car.... frm up da hill without pressing fuel pedal, when u reach half da hill ur car speed is almost over 100km/h dy. unlike perdana with fuzzy logic system. its might go bit faster but nt toooo fast coz of da engine braking. and why engine braking? its like u'r drivin manual car. when down frm genting. we uses gear to slow down da car like shifting 3rd to 2nd.. fuzzy logic did da same.
when uphill pulak. when we maintain our foot pressure and keep in certain rpm, fuzzy logic will sense da road condition and shift da gear frm high position to lower position instead of we da driver ourslef step hard in da pedal to get it downshift.
another diff of perdana's fuzzy logic and wira's 1.5 &1.6 without F.logic. did u realize dat while u r drivin wira 1.5/1.6, when u pull da gear lever/shifter frm D position to 2 in nrmal dirve, u'll feel dat da gear change directly and fast into 2nd gear compare to our perdana.. slower. its becoz our fuzzy logic will THINK BE4 proceed. its will downshift to 3rd gear den only follow by 2nd gear. and dis will result in time lag of gearshift in perdana if ur plat with da gear shifter. dis function will be disable while in HOLD MODE. try dis!! in HOLD mode, try shift ur gear frm D to 2... da gear will change much more faster compare to AUTO mode wit fuzzy logic enabled. its like drivin MANUAL car. =)
and for ur information... da gear ratio for wira 1.5, 1.6, perdana SEI and V6 its totally da same. frm 1st to 4th gear.
juz dat wira 1.5 dun hv 4th gear and oso without GB ECU at all. wira 1.5 uses steel cable to tranfer da (data)frm throttlebody to gearbox to let it change da gear. da throttle pulls da cable actually and change da fluid pressure in GB.
and when u loosen or tighten dis cable it will result in earlier or slower changing of gear. for ours, we uses TPS(throtle positon sensor) to tell GB ECU. den GB ECU will tell da GB when to engage any gear in da most suitable time. dat means we can oso set da time for changing either earlier or slower by turning da TPS with special tools(diagnostic machine) to read da data.
da diff in 1.6, 2.0 and v6 GB is da torque converter. and da special DIFF thing V6 hv its about da FINAL gear.
(notes) if our car din engage in dis final gear, it will result in makan minyak coz da rpm is higher compare to normal working GB, in da same speed.
V6 FINAL gear hv 3 or 4 clucth plates and for perdana SEI and wira 1.6 only gt 1 clutch for da final gear.
why V6 needs so many plates of clucth for final gear?? its becoz V6 got higher torque and higher HP comapre to SEI and 1.6. and oso V6 can stand higher top speed.
why auto got clutch?? tot only manual GB got clutch??
manual gb clutch work as a plate to engage and turn da gearbox. but auto slightly diff frm manual. auto GB uses fluid pressure to kicks all those cluch plates in to turns those gears. there's is more then 20-30 clucth plates in a SINGLE auto gearbox. means if 1 of these clutch plates tear out or wear out. u'll get sumthing like no gear at all while in D,2 or L positon. or sumtimes da rpm to very high but da car speed is still da same. this will result in comsume more fuel too.. and becoz of da many clutch plates for da final drive, da housing of da V6 GB is bit longer compare to 1.6 and SEI.

oh yea, 1 more thing if u dare to try. with fuzzy logic system our gear will automatically shift into 2nd gear while da rpm reaches da red line although its in "L" position.. dis is to prevent damage to da engine and GB.
