Band of Brothers Blu-ray in Works for 2008

HBO In the latest issue of Home Media Magazine, writer John Latchem interviewed Sofia Chang, Senior Vice President of Marketing for HBO Video with regards to the upcoming release of the mini-series 'John Adams' for DVD (no Blu-ray release has been announced at this time). At the conclusion of the interview, he asked when the popular 'Band of Brothers' mini-series would see Blu-ray release. She replied that a version was in the works for release later this year.

Currently, the only way to see 'Band of Brothers' in high definition is to import the now discontinued HD DVD releases from Japan (which were released by Toshiba). Now that HBO is readying the set, those highly anticipating the set (yours truly included) await anxiously for an official release date.

Maybe tonight will test Beowulf. Test only, whole movie, don't know when. Even my old BDs got many haven't watch yet!

Basically, to get the free samsung blu-ray player you need to buy 32 discs at RM4788. which works out to be RM150 per disc. Doesn't seem to be any other added incentives though. I thought they were renting out blu-ray movies but it doesn't look like it.
