Hey, my brothers birthday is coming up, and i want to get him a multi-effects pedal....
i've decided on either giving him a Korg AX5G for RM330 or save up abit and get him a used Korg AX1500G for RM450....
which do you think i should get... my MAX budget is 450.

What a sweet person.. smile.gif Anyway I have the AX5G, if you're going for portability, choose AX5G. It is small, light and sounds good(I assume it's made of plastic, but very well built, it's a MIJ lol), but if your bro gig a lot the tougher ax1500 would be the better choice.

well my brother doesnt really gig........ so i guess the AX5G would be a better choice.... thankyou!
he's been playing guitar for about 2 years now and he doesnt have any pedals or anything so i wanted to get him a multi-effect pedal but i cant afford one of those high end effect pedals anyway!

so i guess i'll get the AX5G for him..... but i just thought it would be nicer to get him the AX1500G cos it would have like more variety...
thanks for the help!

but just the korg ax5g alone is rm330? or inclusive of cables and adaptor?

if just the unit alone, after buying the adaptor and the cables is sligtly less than rm400 already.

I think the ax1500g is more solid although second hand..

i heard the ax5g is nice but the ax1500g is soooooo awesome...
i can haggle the price of the ax5g down to RM300 probably but the ax1500g is 450 firm i think...

The ax15000 does seems like one hefty gift, if you can afford it should be the better choice. By the way, you can surely haggle to RM300 or maybe even lower in CK for the ax5g, but it does not come with the adapter.

hahaha. my suggestion? give him a boss ds1 which is better then no pedals, reliable and cost far less then 450. the extra cash, save up for better cymbals. lol~
