whoa... that temp is scary man... what's the max temp these 9600 can take anyway??? my gc is more like desperate cooling rather than hardcore... hehehehe... but so far so good la... so, going to keep it that way for now.
any advice on why my GC can't oc higher without crashing?? do i need to do vmods on this gc?? planning to change to 9800GTX in the near future.. but still loving this card though..
Meh, I'm not scared at all. My fully overclocked X1800GTO some years ago even reaches over 100C but its still stable as a rock, playing CoD2 1280x960 4xAA 16xAF. Ah those are the days when you can Vmod via software...my 9600GT maximum clock is 770MHz/2000MHz with 1150MHz memory, but I only tested to see its maximum overclock
I suggest you keep the card. With that overclocked, is there any game will slow down? Even at stock speed, I can play Crysis High setting at 1280x960 with minimal stuttering. This card is good enough for me, that I don't even need to overclocked it
If you wanted more, look for the voltmod on the card. I think Colorful uses different PCB from reference, so you can't use reference Vmod on this card. You can always Google
