i think thats a brilliant idea. having said that, it will be quite troublesome to transfer all your funds every month. my advice is to go for the PMA account at maybank where it is a combination of current and savings account or CIMB Prime Account which is the same as the former. that way, you stand a chance to gain interest while also having chequeing facility at the same time.

PMA is Premier Mudharabah Account which is a savings account with chequeing facility. this way you can earn interest while being able to issue cheques. like 2 in 1 lah.
