There's another one about a man and a small device, like a pocket watch, that keeps sending him through time. The time he went to are all historical times like Troy vs Sparta, American civil war, the Krakatao explosion etc. Every time he lands on a new place & time, he'll check the device. If the red light is on, there's danger nearby. Can't quite remember the title of this tv series.
