QUOTE(Dixon93 @ Sep 20 2008, 06:01 PM) Alright, N96 is just like an updated version of N95 8GB, but actually, it not as good as you think. The surface is changed to glossy and looks more nice, but i tried that phone before and easy to 'drop' coz the glossy surface behind is slippery. Plus your fingerprints are all around the phone. wats the difference between n95 8gb and normal n95..2nd, i think no people had mentioned here before, N96 doesn't have Acceleration Chip (3D Chip), means playing games will lag, there is a video to proof : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6zkJYF1w6A 3rd, N96 builds in with 16GB internal memory and i think it will be very lag when search through files even in my N95 8GB also little lag when accessing files. 4th, processing speed : N96 is using ARM 9 264Mhz while N95 8gb is using ARM 11 330Mhz plus a 3D Chip. Conclusion, have a look at the price on N96 now, it's not worth it, spend few minutes to read review over the net, you will get a lot. The N96 comes with Dual LED flash and not Xenon, The DVB-H service i believe it's not available in Malaysia, so another useless feature. About N95 8GB i currently using it and it's quite nice, just fullfill wat i wanted, but actually all symbian phones are almost the same just depends on the hardware and style! At first i also worried about firmware, software and such, but once i got it only takes me about few days to master it, now i know how to hack the phone to install unsign application and flashing firmware is easy since they provided NSU and installing programs also easy through PC Suite Hope this helps,.. just ask me anything about N95 8GB in terms of its camera and video taking...and other functions...thanks |

QUOTE(alpha_company @ Jan 7 2009, 03:48 AM) if im not mistaken that 8 hours first charge is for old model batteries like 3310. the old batt needs to be charged 8 or so hours because it has charge memory or something..so that it can charge more and last longer... but for newer model batt like n81 or n95 if im not mistaken does not need that 8 hour charge and it's better kept charged rather than being used till finish batt power. gratz!..is it a type of leather pouch for your phone??..play your hp kaw kaw and tell us later k..still need your opinion in buying this phone or n85 after cny..i think u can refer by google.. Added on January 7, 2009, 3:50 am woohoo..i got n95 8gb with screen protector and that flip type casing for rm 1565 |

if you want to be sure software ahem2 works with most software, n95 8gb is the phone for you because its s60 v3 FP1 n85 is s60 v3 FP2 and the software that can be ahem2 with n85 is much less...need to wait longer for the ahem2..hehe Added on January 8, 2009, 7:01 am the ahem2 here is for garmin software or most of the software? |

SEE THIS LINK http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=61&t=806400 is fp1 better than fp2 or vice versa and why? why some change their phone just for the fp2( i know fp1 cant be updated to fp2)? |

QUOTE(alpha_company @ Jan 9 2009, 12:59 AM) rm1560 with screen protector and leather casing. so what makes you choose n95.8gb instead of n85 besides the design and screen size and also n85 look like your n81..Added on January 9, 2009, 1:02 am fp2 is said to be more optimized and thus maybe save more battery. it is also faster and smoother and includes menu transition effects. but the differences between fp1 and fp2 is not big and for me it effects little in my decision to buy a phone. and there's only a few good software out there for fp2??can list me some nice software that cant run on fp2? is there any prob to run garminxt, and all n-gage games those ahem2 one on n85?ty |
