QUOTE(jason4883 @ Sep 26 2008, 09:34 AM) some of which i remember..1. one of the biggest difference is the mass storage size.. real n95 8gb has 8gb space, fake one doesn't even reach 1gb 2. if u already familiar with S60 interface, u'll notice that fake n95 8gb is using S40 instead of S60.. 3. camera button doesn't work in fake unit, including the zoom buttons 4. keypad backlight in fake unit is blue instead of white u can check youtube, lots of vids comparing real n fake ones.. on average, my battery lasts for 3 days.. this includes a few hours of music, 10 mins call and few minutes of gaming everyday.. yes, battery consumption increases when u transfer files via cable.. QUOTE(Kwallace @ Oct 3 2008, 04:55 PM) I'm looking to get one of these (original recipe), anyone know of the latest price. the cheapest original set right now is around rm2200+.. one of my recommended place is kelana jaya giant mall (inside the supermarket)..Alternatively, anyone know of an honest shop in Subang Parade that sell them? Also, with the different versions (1,2,3) which one gets sold in Malaysia? Cheers for N95 8gb, only N95-2 is available in malaysia.. This post has been edited by irix: Oct 3 2008, 05:52 PM |

QUOTE(Mr.Lonely @ Oct 6 2008, 06:17 PM) any1 know is there any Web browser for N95 8GB can view video emblem like Flash , wmv , real media ... etc? i noe new firmware enabled flash for nokia web browser.... but how about wmv etc? how about opera?p.s. nokia map 2.0 is a not bad application , search around the net for *ahem*ed version haha QUOTE(jason4883 @ Oct 7 2008, 09:36 AM) Sorry if I repost my doubts here. It's all bout the sliding mechanism of N95 8GB. Seems like it getting more n more serious right now. I have check with Nokia Care Center and the shop fella told me it's normal for sliding phone...everything has pros n cons. well, nokia is still far behind comparing with SE's slide phones.. n95 8gb slide mechanism is not as solid as xpressmusic series or SE phones.. it's normal if u're phone feels a little bit loose coz mine is the same, but it's normal n doesn't really bother me.. unless if ur phone can accidentally slide when u put inside ur pocket..Do you guys have the same issue as mine? QUOTE(MICHAEL NG @ Oct 17 2008, 02:06 PM) Original set - RM2200, AP set - RM1800+QUOTE(Aaron1988 @ Oct 18 2008, 07:59 AM) Hi, I'm a N95 8gb user, I heard some rumors saying that... (refer to below) of coz, all rechargeable battery has its lifetime.. the aging process starts right after it is manufactured.. the lifetime depends on ur usage and how well u take care of it (charge/discharge, store temperature, etc).. sooner or later, the performance will decrease and the battery dies.. nowadays most rechargeable batteries for mobile phones, laptops and portable media players are using Li-ion.. u can search in google on how to prolong or extend ur li-ion battery life.. some links that might enlighten u..Is it true? And I want to know that, will my phone or battery spoilt if I overcharge for few hours? Last time I heard ppl saying battery got life 1, after charging like 9999 times, then cannot use already. lol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium_ion_b...on_battery_life http://www.batteryuniversity.com/parttwo-34.htm This post has been edited by irix: Oct 18 2008, 07:36 PM |

QUOTE(eyez98 @ Oct 20 2008, 12:58 PM) I've seen the replicas.. mayb they want to boast around.. lol j/k and its a fact you can get the china made clone for only rm400+ but whats the use, if you don't have the functions (GPS, Wifi, 3G, 5MP camera, symbian OS S60V3). The reason we live with this fat phone is all because of the functions.. why get this fat phone if the function is not there? |

QUOTE(ZombieSeafood @ Oct 23 2008, 12:34 PM) Hello people!I've got a few questions for veterans of this thread and long-time N95 8gb users. 1) Never had this problem before even when i'm running 4-5 apps at the same time.1)I've read that the N95 8gb has problems with hanging. Is this true? 2)Is the data transfer using USB cable very slow? I've read that it is painfully slow! 3)Is it prone to virus attacks? 4)does the slider become loose easily?how long before it does? any opinions?thanks! 2) Slow, but acceptable 3) All symbian or windows mobile phones are prone to virus attacks. Just stay away from potentially dangerous sites and u'll be ok. 4) The slider is a little bit loose, maybe around 0.3mm to 0.5mm. There are several vids in youtube on how to fix the slider. |

QUOTE(NickX04 @ Jan 24 2009, 10:31 AM) won't be upgrading at the moment.. no major upgrades in the new firmware, and old hack methods will not work.. there's a new hack for this firmware posted yesterday in ipmart, but i'll just wait for a few weeks though.. |
