My keypad faded badly due to heavy sms usage. Think u saw before coz i posted a pic of it in this thread some time ago..
Anyway, before my warranty died on 13th dec, i sent it to the service centre opposite berjaya times square..
Left my phone there at 10am, by 2pm can collect already. Nokia service centre changed my keypad, the d pad, and the behind camera cover for free..

yea man, u better do that fast..
then ask them what can be changed for free
also request them to check ur phone if there is any defect.. some defects can be changed foc

ehh my slider caused a little scratch on the keypad can i warrant for a new housing?

also another thing i worry is there any chance they will replace ur components inside silently when u do give them for minor warranty like cover change etc?

i don't think those official service centers would want to change ur components inside..
their technicians have alot of original spare parts and components.. they don't need ours

the only guys who may want ur components may be those handphone dealers...

so how should i avoid this? i bought AP phone so i will have to deal with those hp dealers?

for housing changes, get ur phone housing changed in front of you,..
example in lowyat, u choose ur housing/keypad, and they will change it in front of you.. that way, we're sure they dont take any parts inside.

but for ap set, there will be charges if change housing or repairs.

I lose my receipt...Can Nokia care person check and know when is my waranty due??

u don't need your receipt for warranty claims from nokia service centers..

just bring your phone there.. they will check back your imei, and on their monitor screen will pop p when you bought this phone , and when the warranty ends..

mine expired on 13 dec 2008.. better get urs checked out asap

i can't seem to be able to hide them too, but it isn't much of an issue.

but the thing is if i change housing under warranty, and i bought the phone from digital mall PJ. how should i do this? and under warranty change still cahrge us??

go back to the shop you bought at digital mall PJ and ask them.
But if i'm not mistaken, ap sets housing and keypad scratches/fade is not covered by warranty.

Go and check just to be sure.

does the n95 8gb have keypad lock code?

For those garmin images, plug into PC as USB. Then find the files and set all properties to Hidden.
Then delete all the _paltbn folder. Let gallery regenerate all.
