Heya!
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this effect I'm trying to achieve. I'm currently working on a remix of song, with an audio clip of the vocals (from the original track) at the bottom of the Pattern window pane.
At one point in the track, I would like to have a stutter effect during the part where the vocals reach a high point, and then make a sliding drop in pitch right at te end of it. Here's an example :
"Let's Part-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y" , on the last 'y', it has to slide down sharply and quickly in pitch.
Bear in mind, I'm working with a 3 minute original track with the back ground music reduced thru Eqing and channel extracting with Adobe Audition. The audio clip is at the bottom of the Pattern Window, a long one. Just in case you don't know what I'm referring to. It's not a short sample, and the stutter has to flow with the rest of the vocals in the original clip.
I've tried using the Cut tool to remove the part from the Audio Clip that i want to stutter, and load in up in the Wave Traveller/FL Slicer, align in correctly in the Pattern window. I got the stutter part to work. But I'm still racking my brains on trying to get that sliding drop at the end.
I got this idea from a remix I've heard on Imeem, but I can't seem to find a way to recording that particular part to give you guys an example. It's a really cool effect. It's confirmed that he does it in FL Studio as I know him mutually, but he refuses to share it with me.
I'll try to record down that part from Imeem if it helps. I'm still looking for a way.
ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks for reading my wall-o-text.
