Hey Ewin, thanks for commenting. The photos have never been edited, just resizing n adding the @yihchien.com

Those are white background. I didn't use flash, I just set the shutter speed lower and ISO a little higher, 200 i think. If i make it darker, the phone doesn't look nice. So, I set it high.

Added on March 5, 2008, 11:34 pmJust took this today. My dog, Vivi. Very hard to get a shot of him, he's always running around. He was staring at some birds flying into the garden. Hehe..all comments will be appreciated. notworthy.gif

For beginner, learn the camera step by step. from program to tv to av then only fully manual...

u need to learn and understand the meaning of each then only use full manual smile.gif

Hey Chicaman, thanks. Actually the photo of my dog is taken using Av mode.

Added on March 6, 2008, 2:33 amAnd for the first few photos, i don't know why it's over exposed. because what I see in my screen is ok, as in not bright, is it because of my monitor's adjustment? So how do i really know if it's really over exposed?

u know wat is tv mode and av mode for ? smile.gif

learn how to see histogram , it is useful to check if it is over exposed or under exposed...
for the pic above, the shutter speed i see from 1 of the photo is 1/2sec, try putting them in 1/6sec....

Tv mode is for the shutter spped thing, and Av is to control the depth of field?

Oh ya, I've forgotten about the histogram thing. Thanks for reminding.

Tv is basically where you control your shutter speed and the camera selects the best apperture. Av setting is the other way round where you select your desired apperture and the camera select the best shutter speed for you.

And histogram remains the best way to check if you over or under-expose a shot. Can't really see from the LCD screen.

The WB for the dog is also a bit off, I think its too reddish. Lol but im no expert on WB, I get mine wrong most of the times. Thank god for post processing tongue.gif
