QUOTE(dreamworker @ Jun 9 2010, 06:00 PM) I am in Penang now. I strongly not recommend to go Penang Hill because just only enjoy the view at there and many places had close. 1)For your info, penang hill is famous for the scenery/view, so it may not suitable with everyone(especially those who don't like this kind of thing). URGENT!! Who know Batu Ferringhi got public wash room or not? And for your info again, most of the place on the hilltop is now close because the main transport to the hill (funicular train) is now ongoing some upgrading job. 2)There are plenty of washroom along the way, but mostly you need to pay some money to use... QUOTE(subrok007 @ Feb 1 2011, 09:54 PM) Alert.... CLOSED..? You mean the uphill road or the town road..?the only road heading to KEK LOK SI IS CLOSED ON CNY from 1st day to 4th day... PLEASE TAKE NOTE..... QUOTE(~Mew~ @ Feb 1 2011, 11:32 AM) I dont get it what is so nice about kek lok si. Seems the same only every year lol. People can be very generous in spending money for temples, even such item inflate 300% above. 1) Its only once a year, it add up the CNY atmosphere. (If you noticed it, most of the visitor are tourist from other state, so its a good investment)2) For your info, most of the Kek Lok Si fund is from public donation, So to say people spending money on it is WRONG. Its up the the person to donate or not. |

QUOTE(Nosense @ Feb 11 2011, 01:33 PM) Fly from Langkawi to Penang. Rent a proton saga (A) for 2 days from Hawk at RM$140/day. Never visit Kek Kok Si, afraid of the jam and also limited time in Penang. Did you enjoy your trip to penang? Visited the Wat Buppharam for the lifting Buddha, clan jetty, historical sites, shopping at gurney plaza, queensbay mall and 1st avenue. Supper at New Lane. Flight back to KL to collect my car, and continue my trip to malacca. |

You should tell us what kind of tour you prefer. Btw, you can get the free map from Komtar (ground floor, beside maybank) or level 53, penang state tourism office

Try go to Pantai Kerachut in Penang National park, Teluk Bahang. The beach there is prettier, cleaner, less people/pollution, no dogs, no beach rempit and no need scared been hit by jetski.
*the only way to get there is by boat or hiking. Baru Ferringhi not for penang people go one, only those who never see beach before in their life will go there. This post has been edited by skon9: Mar 7 2011, 12:30 AM |

QUOTE(ken_zie @ Mar 23 2011, 02:49 PM) estimated around 1hour, but normally less than that. But to be safe, should allocate 1hours or more. There's 2 Rapid bus heading toward airport, 1 of it is express, direct to the airport. |
