Not really a chord.

I know that some songs have string skipping, but they usually go 1 note at a time.

But when I encounter a few like these, I have no idea how you'd play them with a pick.

With plucking, that means you use your thumb and index finger.

What if one uses a pick ?

Thanks, I originally thought of muting middle string and strum all 3 strings, but usually when this is the case, the guitar pro tab will have x marked on the middle string, but i encountered many tabs that didn't mute the middle strings, so I thought they must've found a way to play the 2 other strings without muting the middle one.

I think muting the middle string is the easiest to do, but the finger pluckers and purists might prefer to leave it untouched at all and sound only the other 2 strings in their own way.
