Know the fight and you wont die. they have IB now anyway. From a warlock's point of view, the FSW set totally owns t4. You dont heally have to focus on sta untill you hit vashj kael, untill then you should have a decent amount of T5 gear.
When you are new to the fight and have never done it before, you will definite get hit by the shit the boss tosses at you. Granted, most inc damage can be avoided... but lemme give u some scenarios...
1. Tell me which person has never EVER gotten hit by.. say spout from Lurker before (when they were still learning the fight) ?
2. Alar flamepatch - you can blink out fast nuff, or run out fast nuff, but the debuff is ticking (3000 per tick). That extra hp will keep you alive long enough for a heal to land (provided u get one).
3. Solarian blinding light (2500) then mage unfortunately is targetted for arcane missiles (3 waves of 3000 dmg) for a total of 11500 dmg. The mage will be lucky if his healers are on the ball else he's kissing the floor.
I agree with you guys that knowing the fight, being alert its all important. Also, equally important is having that extra length in your hp bar which effectively extends your life/dps. Just gotta find a balance between survivability and dps output.
