hello all............. it had been a long time since i posted here... i think many here dont even know me... hehhee....

anyhow, had not been fishing for quite awhile till last weekend... i went to BSR.... and i can tell u, it was the best experience of pond fishing i had.... broken my record... it is not consider very big if compare to u guys in the open sea... but satisfyin for me liao...

hope i can find more time in Bangkok to visit the legendary pond again... cheers....

mind godness.... mine was baby pla buk... wanna show also paiseh lar... coz i went there... didnt hired guide...

mixture of hong also tak tau... ask one uncle beside me... his hong taruk makan taruk makan...

after his magic touch only i get to strike my baby pla buk.... but i still got plenty of time here... so maybe during april after songkran will be my 2nd trip to BSR.... hehehe

u coming to bangkok??? if yes then give me a ring... i will be here roughly for another 2 months... i had been to BSR 2 weeks ago... for the catch is ok... but need to mix around more with the local.... coz the uncle beside me taruk hentam taruk hentam.....

after his advise, i was able to land a baby pla buk(which is consider big in malaysia)... i will be getting my reel this coming monday.... will be hunting for rods here..... i guess it should be cheap here...

if u dont carry ur our gears to BSR, u will need to rent RM50 for rod&reel.... the landing net(damn huge 1) will be charge rm10....

whole day fishing is rm50

sure lar.... but u need to have a local thai with u.... my colleague pay in the front desk on my behalf.....

if a foreigner, there is additional maybe rm20-30 difference... cant remember de.. coz i ask my colleague get the cheapest package...

once u confirm ur trip to BKK, let me know... i drop u my local thai number.... BTW i am staying in Sukhumvit

I planned to get a rod for BSR in bkk... any recommendation? A jigging rod to handle this monster pla buk???

the combo will be my Daiwa BG20 and with the rod....

refering to the rod for BSR... i saw 1 daiwa jupiter rod... if looks like a surf rod... but i didnt mentioned on the poundage for line.... u guys think it is ok for BSR... it costs only 496 Baht after discount....

i got my reel yesterday.. thanks to my colleague who just came here yesterday....

so these few days will be hunting for rods de.....

of course a custom rod will be good.... but i dunno how to custom one... further more i am in bkk... if i would go in the shop asking for them to custom for me.... jialat de..... kena potong kao kao.....

thinking of getting a cheapo rod... coz i wont be using it in malaysia also... or i can get a slightly good jigging rod... then i can follow u guys to P9 if i am around in malaysia...

i saw naugty been name jakarta king... i was there last year for 4 months+.... that place damn kao sien man... for fishing no need to say also lar... langsung tak de... unless go far away form jkt lar.... go clubs also expensive like crazy... i open one bottle of martell vsop in X-lounge(dont be fool by the name, high end clubs like zouk), cost me just below 600.... burning my wallet kao kao.... further more additional mixers will be charge almost rm50... but for now.. getting better as rupiah has drop....

getting back to the rod... u guys think i will be able to purchase a decent jigging rod under rm200.... maybe pe3 should be able to stand pla buk

i already purchase a rod... ABU Garcia tournament 2. 1 piece 6 feet, line poundage 20-40lbs. anyhow i cant find this model when i type in internet.. had limited choices in the shop... further more i dunno where else i can find another tackle shop other than the other one in BSR..... and the price is also reasonable lar... rm130...

thanks sifu rory for ur comments yesterday nite...the combination for BSR this weekend will be, ABU tournament, Daiwa BG20, Sufix mono 30lbs. let see whether it can handle boh...

limited budget mar.... so have to try my luck lor... hehhee

every trip rent damn jialat to my wallet mar.... this is my 2nd trip de... 1st trip i rent... so this trip i am getting my own gears... maybe if this trip my bg20 cant with stand, then i get another reel here......

the Bg reel i had it long time ago de lor.... so just try for this trip lor... i dont hired fish guide.... my 2nd time there in a month time de...

if cand then really have to consider a much expensive reel de.....

kinda my lucky reel, had caught quite a number of fishes in malaysia... ehhehee

wah so fast sudah upload de....

the action was great....

after the fish, damn tired de.... just light up my ciggies... then 1st big hook up of the day.... the fight lasted roughly 20 mins running...
this bugger went to the platform below... i taught shit... fish lost de... without giving up... me just selamba wait for it(actually was resting and tengah bengang).... suddenly thr fish came out... another round to fight... finally landed the pla buk...

got another 2nd hook up... played like 5-10 mins then pass to sifu nico.... he also had some shockalingam time with the fish...

overall, average outing if compare with the local expert... but for me, the 3rd time... consider the best outing in BSR so far... will be hunting for more pla buks in 2 weeks time.... sifu nico tengah simpan power for 30kg mark fish de....
