bro fookie,
thanks for the generous offer. We do go to Sitiawan quite frequent last year.

Perhaps, IF you got any good lobang or trip, please do not hesitate to arrange. i'm sure many of us will be coming from KL. smile.gif

tarak ler bro Q, it's a nasi kandar restaurant at yap kwan seng

Bro fookie,
you can try to use a floater, small sized hook with thin leader...i have caught many with such technique. As the floater sinked in, count to 3 and strike.. smile.gif Try not to move the rod at all when they take your bait(floater sinking) Haruan sensitivity is very strong.. smile.gif

no problem on BKT..kekeke

Welcome in TMY,
plenty of us here using lures, esp me as I don't do much bait. Mostly luring, jigging and popping. You can browse thru all our 7 fishing threads and you'll see loads of pictures of species caught using lures and also baits.. smile.gif Happy browsing

Bro Alex,

welcome in bro Prea to our little angling thread.

if it's mainly on bottom fishing, please consult bro nico. He's good with bottom. smile.gif I don't do bottom much so I'm learning as you do.

myself more towards the lures part, be it hardbody lure, soft body, popping or jigging smile.gif

Some long-nose fishy.  Anybody got the name of it?  The meat was fillet and fried with ginger and spring onions.  The head was curried.  All cook last night in KK.

Added on March 17, 2008, 9:38 amBTW bro fookie,

Sotong season will be hitting Pangkor area. Perhaps you can arrange a trip there? At least 3 or 4 pax from KL(meaning the boat can take 5 anglers + 1 boatman) or if the response is good from our forum then you need to find a secondary boat.. smile.gif

My suggestion:
Morning: Sotong around Pangkor area
Afternoon: Jigging at P9 area

If possible arrange somewhere between 3rd week of April to 2nd week of May. DO revert to us these few days if possible, otherwise, i'll call my contact in Sitiawan smile.gif

Unker,
Thanks for the invitation. Can share with me more about the itenary for the KK trip?

Is it purely fishing? Or Vaca-Shing?

Date of departure? When coming back? I'm keen but have to get approval from HM

Psst, this Thursday public holiday.....any game plan to our regular spot?
