Just tested about 20 of the lures from the box at my place's swimming pool. Some need to tune

how to tune the lures??

i tought you would wanna say poke some wires into the lure then use computer and tune

From Federal Highway, get into the Sungai Way FTZ i.e. into LDP.  Ref: the suspension bridge where Free Scale Semiconductor is.
Follow this LDP while keeping left, for the next km or less. DO NOT GO UP THE FLYOVER at the junction of Western Digital.  Make a U-Turn at Western Digital.  Go on for about 300 meters and then turn left.
From here, go for another km, while passing Esso and Shell that's on your right and then there's the traffic light. Go on for a few meters and then turn right.  Go on for about 50 meters and you'll see a football field on your left. Just after this field, turn left.  There'll be a block of shophouses on your right. 
The target restaurant is at the end of this block along the road of SS3/35.  You cun't miss it, wan.

Its meant to pull back the lure when it got snagged ler..

Imagine your lure got stuck and you tried to pull it back and your snap bukak.....

you get back the snap but not the lure....

not about the fish

no la.. my hook 1 side only wor.. maybe next time you can show me what is sam char hahaha

Most of the time the standard hooks are using besi type, thus opened up easily

We mostly use carbon and 3x stronger hooks...in such hook will hardly opened up and most of the time the line burst before the hook will open

3x still not good enuf for places like AG .... I still encounter open 3x hooks

You are right....but do you believe that the snap is 100lb snap as stated on the labels....?

If it's really 100lb, i believe you have to excrete more than 100lb in order to open the snap to fit your lure in..

In short higher poundage snaps have higher percentage of getting back the lure.... dont you agree?

In luring, sometimes the snap too big will hamper the lure's action...

Imagine, if you are using a 2inch lure and the snap is 1 inch.....be it walk the dog or divers, will definitely out of the original suggested action....

Also, in luring, try to have a rounded end so that the lure can swing freely. Try not to use the haruan snap for lures...due to the pointy end, the lure is not able to swing freely.

There are 4x & 5x available too but it's pricey ... 

A 4x treble hook can cost about RM1.20 each .. so, we've to spend like additional RM2.40 for each lure. 

That's the main reason why I'm not into saltwater game yet lor ...

now no more red hot anglers liow.. dunno where the japanese sensei went.. i learn some stuff and his recommendations not bad one.. i'm still using the reel that he recommended but didn't buy there cause damn fast.. he showed me the same day i visit.. i went there the next day.. gone liow.. plus.. i got it cheaper a lil bit compared to Red hot..

What reel he recommend you bro?

If not mistaken i saw him somewhere at shopping mall selling sushi..

Yeah.. Me too... Rapala CD 09 triple hook straighten... 

50 Ib snap straighten after stripping my lines 3 times only... i put thumb break that time and lost DTFSS 07 silver colour... SEE... i learn hard way from my own mistake and i share with you all so you all don't have to repeat it.. 

small snap should be used while using top water lure. If you use diver than bigger snap also no problem.. it will dives and only "godek godek" its tail maa... but for top water, if bigger snap used then your lure head will be down (compared to its tail) therefore affected its action..
