Like it or not, 0080 has more soul since the characters were more developed than the rest of the UC Gundam series. A lot of other Gundam characters were becoming caricature themselves, too much emphasis on MS battle while neglecting who are this people are. 0080 is story of human beings, not typical Gundam which a massive win from other where other Gundam is either mecha masturbation or peacenik ramblings. F 91 for example is so tepid in characterization. Sure the MS look pretty but it is hollow and empty, no soul.

MS Igloo is pretty yes, but it is so hopelessly stereotypical that it become unmemorable.

Gundam dialogue also bordering on either too silly or too childish. That needs reworking too. The writers have to trust that audience can think for themselves and show the story, not telling it.

I have the novels, they are great. 98 percent characters died in the story, just the way I like it. And the Gundam was grey colour, not the blindingly white.

I grew quite jaded with Gundam universe. When they ever gonna pay attention to make better story than just churning out new variants of Gundam or Zaku for gunpla for the market?
