QUOTE(stimix @ Jun 3 2011, 07:43 AM) Danok...u can even walk there from the border haha. It's a sin town.. every corners full of pubs, sexy cafe, massage ctrs & etc...hotter than the clean image of Hatyai. However it's rather small. Only about 12 treets town...well atleast much bigger than 15 yrs ago when it was just a shanty dirty village Thanks for the heads up If you dunwan wasting time queing twice for the passport & declaring your car to custom, easier park your car at the rest area before M'sian immigration, walk ~ 900M to the Thai immigration and Danok just right after the immigration complex Normally, if you want to drive-in, you need to buy the insurance.. (I heard nowadays increase to RM20/wk liao?), get your passport stamp and hv to declare your car 1st b4 they allow you entry Park here? Google maps How far I need to walk after the custom before I can get a Tut tut ? So far after research online , planning to stay in Satit Grand View hotel. Any nice food there to eat ?? Been to Hatyai a couple of times , so time to try something new. |

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Jun 3 2011, 11:01 AM) Park here N6 31.165 E100 25.115. There is a sign board. From there you can walk across to the hotel in 3 - 5 minutes nia. Thanks a lot , so I can drive pass malaysia custom after the bukit kayu hitam ? (meaning I don't have to declare anything or buy any insurance as long as I don't go pass thailand ? )Just make sure you turn left to park cos the next few meters is Thailand liao! When you pick up your car to leave just turn right, ya. Danok food is expensive...taste so so nia. Ppl go there not for food la. This post has been edited by ghoss: Jun 3 2011, 11:13 AM |

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Jun 3 2011, 11:12 AM) Not only that, bro. Have many other things also. It is like the Las Vegas! Have gambling, Tiger shows, Cabaret, disco and almost everything except good food. Have good fruits though, and I mean real thai fruits like mango, longan & lychee. Added on June 3, 2011, 11:13 am Yup but not pass the Thai custom/immigration complex where you are going to park your car. Need to pay car park fees ? Safe ar ? It is parking directly inside the kastam there right ? where you get the passport stamped ? Planning to stay at Satit Grandview , don't think can walk there |

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Jun 3 2011, 02:38 PM) Bro, that blog bit out of date BUT the REMINDER there is super accurate, so do follow, take care and enjoy! QUOTE Note:When you are ordering your beer in any of the joints, do tell them what size bottle you want besides the number of bottles, as they will assume that you want the large size. When any of the hostesses or waitresses offer to shake hand with you, don't shake their hands but instead shake your head if you don't want them to sit with you. If you shake hands with them and they sit with you, then you are expected to buy them lady's drink. Also prepare plenty of small notes like RM2 or 20baht, as all the employees in these joints expect to be tipped. Lucky got read , else buta go shake hand then kantoi |

QUOTE(ahchak @ Jun 14 2011, 12:58 PM) hehe.. my friends always pretend not to pay even RM1. Sometimes they wont ask for one ringgit. sometimes they will.. at thai immigration thr, the small office on your left hand side, can ask there for the white slip. it's free. just fill in details like name, passport, date of birth, sex and sign. those like car plate number, address and the rest not so important i seldom fill them.. Thanks a lot . QUOTE(tanch78 @ Jun 14 2011, 01:03 PM) Is there a fee (Rm1) when enter/exit from Thailand border? I went so many times but no body tells me need to give "duit kopi"??? The custom people saw them in a bar can kacau them lor , saying can drink a lot but cannot even pay RM1. |

QUOTE(KooNKHaR @ Jun 14 2011, 01:29 PM) hi, Google Mapusually u'll have to pay the visa RM1 upon entering only, not exiting.. except if u are traveling by express bus, then the RM1 is already included in the bus fares. for those who wish to park their cars at the thai border carpark (behind the immigration's office) i advise u to park at the duty-free car park.. because those thai authorities have started putting "this is not a public carpark" on the windscreens.. if the tip 120 baht is for 2 person, then it's low for them (60 baht/per person ~ RM6) those in-house masseurs desperate nowadays, as the in-house massage business is badly affected by the outside parlour.. (which their skills & service is much better) This car park ? please advise , gonna go down this weekend. |
