bro, i recommend u to go seafood restaurant 59 (five nine)
or in thai ~ "har kau seafood" (mention this to tuk2 or motor taxi)
and this restaurant have 2 outlet in Hadyai itself (which is nearby to each other)
the 1st outlet is the old & original 59, while the 2nd outlet is newer & runs by different management..
personally, i more prefer & highly recommend the 1st outlet..
as its cheaper & they maintains the originality taste of each dishes..
1st outlet is located along the road behind Sakura Grand View Hotel..
and the 2nd outlet is located opposite this same hotel..
so, this is how u tell the tuk2 or motor taxi ~ "har kau seafood, buer nerng" (59 seafood no. 1)
and "har kau seafood, buer song" (59 seafood no.2)

---

or, if u don't mind sitting at normal stalls like "mapler SS2', i recommend u to go eat at "thalat pasa"..
it opens at night time only, because during day time it's the parking area along the zebra's shop..
very easy to locate this stall, since it's the only stall selling seafood..
foods are nice, cheap & very fresh (they have oysters as well) brows.gif
and for the locals, they prefer to eat here also..

~ hoped these infos helps & bon appétit !
kin yerk yerk ok.. (eat a lot) biggrin.gif

Nothing there wor. Just village town. Drove past the town intersection twice on the way to/fro Krabi.. just another 60km from that intersection is the even bigger town of Trang.

Danok...u can even walk there from the border haha. It's a sin town.. every corners full of pubs, sexy cafe, massage ctrs & etc...hotter than the clean image of Hatyai. However it's rather small. Only about 12 treets town...well atleast much bigger than 15 yrs ago when it was just a shanty dirty village biggrin.gif

If you dunwan wasting time queing twice for the passport & declaring your car to custom, easier park your car at the rest area before M'sian immigration, walk ~ 900M to the Thai immigration and Danok just right after the immigration complex

Normally, if you want to drive-in, you need to buy the insurance.. (I heard nowadays increase to RM20/wk liao?), get your passport stamp and hv to declare your car 1st b4 they allow you entry

Park here N6 31.165 E100 25.115. There is a sign board. From there you can walk across to the hotel in 3 - 5 minutes nia.
Just make sure you turn left to park cos the next few meters is Thailand liao! laugh.gif
When you pick up your car to leave just turn right, ya.

Danok food is expensive...taste so so nia. Ppl go there not for food la.
