Two words, man. "NO SWEAT" wink.gif Just update via iTunes, and ZiPhone does the rest. Plain and simple. Resync the phone and reinstall your apps and it's pretty much EXACTLY the same as before the upgrade. Only issue? Some apps which check the phone's SystemVersion.plist still haven't been altered to 1.1.4 instead of just 1.1.3. Nothing has changed in the file system unlike the 1.1.2 > 1.1.3 transition, so most apps ported to 1.1.3 should work fine once their creators update the raw code.

2 ways of looking at this. On one hand, Apple's warranty terms do dictate that so long as your iPod or iPhone has not been physically modified in any way involving opening up the device, nor has it been soft-hacked in any way (meaning its retains ONLY stock default functionality), your warranty is valid. In other words, you must be able to restore EVERYTHING from your modified bootloader, IMEI, baseband + firmware (can be updated, but not tampered with hacks of any form), and of course, as reports in the US now say, the phone must be activated on a valid carrier assigned by Apple. nod.gif Hell lot of effort, but not impossible.

On the other hand, I bet ANY Apple Store employee worth his/her salts hasn't realized by now that the phones are being hacked all the way. So they WILL be VERY hesitant to entertain your warranty claim should you be of eg. Asian origin with US/UK iPhones or unable to show proof of AT&T/O2 contract. Not sure whether this applies, but I doubt Apple's THAT foolish. wink.gif

One question bro... can i upgrade my unlocked 1.1.1 directly to 1.1.4 and unlock using ZiPhone?

Goto Installer and then select on sources to add http://installer.iclarified.com. Then go to the iClarified section in the installer to install AppSupport Patch ... look for your version... Learn that from Samanoske Akechi biggrin.gif ... Good luck..

How to increase the volume in Iphone.

I got an error msg saying that what BSD is not installed..
how to fix it ?
*
1) install BSD Subsystem from your installer it is under the System tab
2) goto installer and add this source... http://installer.iclarified.com and refresh the sources
3) then go to iClarified tab and look for Volume Boost (1.1.x) - look for your own firmware version.
4) Install and then reboot your iphone... should make the overall sound louder...

I've installed that but uninstalled it again. I figure out there must be some reason why apple engineers dun want to make it too loud... maybe the speaker or earphone cannot handle too much... biggrin.gif

exactly, i was listening to the ringtone that i hve just created, the song out of the speakers are breaking down, so i have to lower the ringtone volume. i think apple need to do something about their speaker.
*
Have you tried lowering it using audio editing software... the file itself may have "clipping" audio gone out of range....
