The iPhone Dev Team has introduced the 3.9-fakeblank Bootloader. It is a modified version of the official Apple 3.9 bootloader. It gives you the ability to run serial payloads when the S-Gold is reset, instead of running the bootloader. It also can be fully software upgradeable at a later time.

The fakeblank bootloader currently is most useful to those who want to experiment with patches to the bootloader but don't want to risk "bricking" their S-Gold in a way that requires geohot's hardware-based A17 hack to recover. It also provides a means to run temporary (not flashed to NOR) code on the S-Gold CPU in a clean environment without the Nucleus OS running and without needing to erase/replace the baseband.

We will be posting instructions on how to downgrade to the fakeblank bootloader once we figure out what the best and quickest (currently it takes forever) method is.

Apple News | Singapore to Launch iPhone in September ?

Channel News Asia is reporting that Singapore Telecommunications Ltd is launching the Apple iPhone in September. They cite industry sources for this information.

"The news, if true, is positive for SingTel. Given iPhone's (appeal to consumers), we believe iPhone would lead to higher market share for SingTel. However, the impact on SingTel's bottom line should not be very significant given Apple's hard bargaining tendency and tough competition from StarHub," said DBS Vickers in a note to clients.

It is estimated that Singaporeans have bought at least 10,000 iPhones since the phone was launched in the US.

If the news is true, Singapore would be the first country in Asia to officially get the iPhone.

There's no retro apple logo using pwnage. I think they decided not to use it because of copyright infringement issues. However with pwnage 1.1 you could use your own custom pictures.
