is all Maxis SIM card compatible with iphone?

I have restored to firmware 1.1.4, unlocked, jailbroken and activated by ziphone 2.5c but still can't detect SIM.

What is your Firmware, Bootloader and baseband version?

ziphone 2.3 compatible with 1.1.4, baseband 4.05, Bootloader 3.9?

I actually follow the main page guide:

For Firmware 1.1.4, Bootloader 3.9, Baseband 4.05,
1) Restore to 1.1.4 using iTunes
2) Press the Do-it-all button on ziPhone v2.5c

just dont know why cannot detect SIM

Expert, I found the root cause.

The hack works all the while, the problem is the SIM Card.

Once out in another 64K SIM Card, works immediately. (the SIM that not working didnt mentioned is 64K, just show 64AS.)

Also another different between non-workable and workable SIM card is after I key in my non-workable SIM card's PIN, it show 1 message: "Fixed Number Dialing Active". the SIM card that works fine dont have this message, tried 3 Maxis SIM Cards, also works, not 1 which is mine doesnt works.



Anyone know what is the issue?

Seems like need to get a replacement SIM Card from Maxis.

anyone know how to install TransitDB?

I have solved the "Fixed Number Dialing Activated" and can't get service issue.

The reason is the old SIM, Maxis said the SIM really old. replaced with a new 3G SIM (128k) with no cost.

Put it in, works immediately. yeah!!!!

can iPhone act as portable storage in Windows?

is there anyway to connect to WIFI that protected by WEP with different key index?

I can connect my iPhone to WIFI with WEP + Key index 1, but not other key index because i cant see any field to enter key index.

anyone can help?

1)i have order 1 iphone from us, so how do i check the serial number? is it just key in *301*12345*# then dial ?? how to identify whether it is 1.1.4 or else?

- which version also works, i got mine is 1.1.2 but restored to 1.1.4. no worry.

2)after that i can just use ziphone 2.5c " DO IT ALL " button and go to advance features to untick the "downgrade bootloader " to unlock the phone.

- Try to DO IT ALL 1st, if not, only try other method. no worry, your phone can be restored as many times as you want.

3) Do i need to insert the sim card b4 unlock ?

- i put in SIM card after unlocked.

4) do i need to install bsd subsystem b4 install app installer?

- the app installer is there by default.

6) How do i install my donwloaded software using App Installer?

- you actually install the software directly from iPhone via Installer. no need download 1st.

why not go to 1.1.4 ?

1.1.2 quite old leh.

1.1.4 has many enhancement compare to 1.1.2. google it for details.

NOTE: you need to restore the new firmware so your data will lost.

I am also using BossPref to turn off EDGE.

Even the E symbol still appear, but no transmission happens after i have checked the Usage in Setting. So i ASSUME the EDGE is off.

or you can simply put a wrong EDGE setting, so the EDGE doesn't work.

Setting -> General -> Network -> EDGE

This is common issue and no solution. seems like maxis issue.
