Guys...I'm a new iPhone owner. rclxms.gif

Just want to check something with u all...

My iPhone is on the latest firmware...and when I sync music or video, I will always get this error "Attempting to copy to the disk "iphonename" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."

Anybody else encountering this issue?

The phone came unlocked so I'm not sure how it was unlocked in the first place.

I understand that there's practically no way to brick the phone, am I right? I'm thinking of doing a restore and then unlock the phone again.

Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks guys. biggrin.gif

Fantastic. Thanks for opening up the thread as I got a newbie question.... blush.gif

icon_question.gif

OK...Can someone pls explain to me in layman terms what is the significance of the bootloader. I read that there's bootloader v3.9 and now it's bootloader v4.6....

What version bootloader SHOULD I have?

I've already read thru this whole thread...yes...all 90 pages of it...and still confused. rclxub.gif

I just don't want to screw up the software on my new iPhone such that I would not be able to upgrade to future firmware updates.

Is it safe to just run Ziphone latest version and click on DO IT ALL??? I know that this option will DOWNGRADE the bootloader. What does this mean? Is downgrading the bootloader good or bad?

Aiyah...hope someone can advise.

I am currently having syncing problems with my iPhone and just want to restore and unlock the iPhone again and see if that fixes my problem. Just not sure what is the best way to do it.

Appreciate ANY advise from the iPhone gurus here.

Many thanks in advance.

Read the following thread and your should be clear about BL...
http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32604

Like lots of thing in this world, there are pro and cons... latest unlocking software should not be downgrading your BL without your attention. However, to be on the safe side, always stay away from "Do It All" and check advance option before proceeding with your unlock.

Thanks for the link. Excellent article. Should clear up a lot of the confusion for me.

Guys...

Is your voice mail working?

Unanswered calls to my iPhone no longer go to voicemail. Any idea how to fix?

When I was using a Nokia previously, it was all set up properly.

Tks.

Oh come on....that guy is excited cuz he just got his phone....haha

Use Simport buddy. Install from installer. But please dont ask where and how to get installer. That has been discussed many times already too.
Now i understand why Megatron wants subforums :-p
That is only available if you are using official telcos working with iPhone in US, UK, Germany, France........

For Malaysia, use the conventional way - dial 121 :-)
Cheers

Bro...if you'll read my post properly...

You'll know that what I said wasn't that the voicemail button doesn't work. I know that.

What I said was that calls to me which are unanswered or when I'm busy NO longer get sent to my voicemail. On my Nokia, I could turn on call forwarding to my voicemail if busy or unanswered.

Just wondering how to set that up in iPhone.

Thanks again.
