i'm trying to restore from 1.1.4 to 1.1.2 through itunes but unknown error(9) happens ,any one can help?

I think u have to take out your XX sim 'After' upgrading.
Because u won't be able to access iTunes with an
unauthorized Simcard with an non-unlocked phone.

can the iphone be charged via the electrical plug when the iphone is turned off?


from my observation, it can charged but a much slower rate or doesnt charge at all.


i tried doing that earlier. i charged half way then decided to turn the iphone off (just to give it a rest) and an hour later, the charge bar stays almost the same (maybe increase a little)

Simply (restore & update) to 1.1.4 and unlock it by using the latest ZiPhone ( ZiPhone 2.5 would be fine )

you can choose not to downgrade your BL if you are having an OTB 1.1.2 or later version,

for a 3.9 BL, just choose the " Do It All " selection =)

Then i straight click Upgrade to 1.1.4 and the phone will lock is tat so..
Next step i perform Ziphone 2.5 and follow the instruction on iclafiried
After everyhing i need to log in to internet and download the BSD first then OpenSSH?

and im good to go?

i read somewhere reputable before, it is almost (observe almost) impossible to brick, so just chill yeah dude?

you can check you bl with bbinfo from installer.
ziphone is fool proof la. i havent been keepinf track with all the firmwares for 3-4 months already. i upfraded from 1.1.2 - 1.1.4 in less than 10 minutes yesterday. and then installed ciynda and couln't uninstall it. i restore and unlocked it again. nothing happened until now

ciynda works for what apps?

Cydia is meant for developers/programmers at this early stage. If u see the apps in there, not many are for normal users. Wait for Cydia to mature first and then it can be a companion to Installer.

cydia is still in developing stage.
the sources are very limited and you can't add sources.
the adding feature is still in developement.
the features are better than installer man. they even have search function and alphabets at the side when scrolling. very good

i'm on 1.1.4 without cydia. decided to remove it until the better version is out

What is your fw version when you just bought it?

It should be a 3.9 if its on 1.1.1, and a 4.6 after it.

If you never have any apps & modifications on your iPhone,

just update to 1.1.4 and run ZiPhone 2.5.

Um actually you dont need to download those BSD & OpenSSH stuff,

if you arent using any apps from the installer like me before,

but im now using since there's still quite some time to reach late June >.<

Finally i managed to watch the entire keynote without lags,

it really seems to be very promising & I realized,

that the iPhone which Phill, Scott & those developers used to demo the apps infront of us is actually a fw2.0 iPhone,

because we never have those settings & features on our 1.1.4 =)

In addition to that, you ll realize that there are already more than 300 apps in the AppStore when Steve showed us the categories of the apps in his keynote,

and there are a lot of them which are actually free, wow

I'm really looking forward to the 2.0 release in late June.
