obviously mate. mms requires at least gprs to work. hence for instance, you cant receive or send mms when you are along the PLUS highway as the network there is almost exclusive to gsm.

if you are using the new 3g sim card from maxis and had your 3g service deactivated (by calling 123 or via sms), you have to place it with net and not unet.


but for hotlink customers, just stick to net.


most blackberry phones require u to deactivate 3g first. if not, there will be a lot of problems upon subscribing to the blackberry internet services

then how do u wanna indicate when there is actually no gprs? just gsm for phone calls/texts

not at all. try travelling along the north south highway and you will realise that, most of the time, maxis only serves gsm
