I see, thanks!!

Last time when I learned Accounting Principles, the teacher said interim dividend is for different kind of shareholders, unlike normal dividend. That got me confused.  sad.gif

This is from my Group Acccountant:

When u call a dividend "FINAL dividend", that's the final dividend for that particular financial year e.g. 2013.

That's why companies prefer to use the term "interim" dividend, so that after that payment, u can make another payment again, and again, and again.

I.e. u can have 4 interim dividends a year, but u can only have ONE final dividend a year.

Well said. Let say Interim dividend give you 4 times all $ 1 per share with different interim plus final $ 1 for final..total $ 5 per share.

if give 1 final dividend $6 per share, less hassle more money laugh.gif

Interim dividends esp quarterly dividends give u a more regular and predictable stream of cash flows, whereas one big bumper final dividend gives u one big angpow. laugh.gif

DIGI Analysis:-

http://lcchong.wordpress.com/2014/02/07/di...sis-7-feb-2014/

My View:-

- Fair values:
  – 5Y DCF: 4.84 – 5.53
  – EY%: 4.02 – 4.37
  – Absolute PE: 4.36 – 4.73
  – DY%: 3.45 – 3.74
- All models indicate that DIGI is either overvalued or fully valued.
- The outperformance of 4Q13 was mainly due to lower-than-expected depreciation and taxes. I am not sure whether this is something recurring for long term.
- With Internet subscribers increased by 14.5% and blended ARPU increased by a modest 2.1% to RM48, I am quite positive with DIGI future prospects.
- However, I believe that DIGI is currently fully (or nearly) valued.
- The last time I accumulated DIGI was in Jul 2013 at 4.66. Thus, I won’t accumulate DIGI for the time being.

Latest Financial – Q4 2013 Financial Report (6 Feb 2014) http://www.bursamalaysia.com/market/listed...cements/1532993

At the time of writing, I owned shares of DIGI.

Digi is in capable hands. The only threat to its future performance is its LTE congestion as it grows its subscribers. Axiata combines its LTE network with Puncak Segamat giving it a total spectrum capacity of 60Mhz. Maxis-UMobile-Redtone has combined spectrum of 60Mhz.
Days ago Yes of YTL seems to to cooperating with Asiaspace giving a combined spectrum of 40Mhz.
Where does Digi stands now? Digi's LTE spectrum is 20 Mhz

Current price 5.11 over value?

Maybank KE Research has maintained its Hold rating on DiGi with an unchanged target price of RM5 and believes the group’s target revenue growth of 4% to 6% is easily achievable.

“We have always been impressed by DiGi’s ability to competedespite a spectrum handicap,” it said on Tuesday.

It said it does not think that the market has factored in the prospect of a business trust formation just yet.

“The decision on whether to pursue a business trust could potentially take longer than expected.

"Hence, a further delay is unlikely to dampen near-term sentiment, in our view,” it said.

With the completion of its network modernisation program in 2013 and some further investments to expand coverage in 2014, DiGi said it will soon have the necessary network to compete in the higher-end segments.

“This implies new avenues for monetisation, something which management is particularly optimistic on given its strong execution capability,” it said.

If price run up until yield on VALUE drops below 3.8%, I might dump/reduce to take profit and move elsewhere

I don't know what type of 'high speed internet experience" is their marketing officer talking about. In my residential area, it cannot even beat UMobile. A lot more needs to be done.
