Well its air asia.. What do you expect..
You are paying only for the seat, not their services.
Most people chose AA because of their price, not for their reputation.
I flew on AA for the first time a few weeks ago and i have this attitude where you dun bother me, so i wun bother you.
I pay u to take me to wherever i wan to go, you take me there and all is well.
My return flight did got delayed but hey i was expecting it since it was a night flight

And MH food are not that superb either. The last time i ate in flight, i ordered the fish and it was half soaked in water..
That was the last time i touched airlines food

Hi, I want to book ticket to Aussie, but I want to save money instead of picking the seats. Is there any way to ensure me and my gf will get a seat side by side without paying this fee?

Book together will work , wun't it?? One of my fren did the reservation thing for herself and her fren and they were seated together.. If not, just ask someone if they mind changing seats or not altough i wouldn't bet on it

It's up to the computer system.  "NORMALLY", if under the same booking, and check in at the counter at the same time, the system will assign sitting together.   However, might not be side by side.  It can be one person in front and one at the back row, eg seat no 6A and 7A.  And may also be separated by the aisle, eg seat no 6C and 6D.

And now, very important - don't ask the counter staff for sitting together, just keep quiet (better learn from stimix's bad experience).

IMHO, to avoid disappointment, just pay for the seats lah.. You could have already save a lot by flying budget airline, rather than the full service airline.

I did that last two weeks. My fren and me book at different time. She book for herself and a friend while i book myself. but its the same flight and we check in together. When i asked the counter lady to put us in the same seat, she say that the seats assignment was done when we made the booking so cannot change. Well that is what she say la. Both of my fren are who reservation was made by the one person at the same time was seated together
