A notification to all guests about our Tianjin flights. We regret to announce that we have to temporarily suspend our Tianjin services from 23 Nov 2009 to 31 January 2010 due to adverse winter conditions and very poor demand, making the flights unviable. We expect to resume services to Tianjin from 1 Feb 2010.
We are sure a lot of you will have some questions, and we hope with the answers below will provide enough information for now.
1.Why is the Tianjin flight suspended? AirAsia is suspending the flight due to adverse weather conditions. This is our first foray into the Tianjin market and to consider the weather factor, we have decided to postpone the route until Februrary for closer monitoring.
2.Will this be temporary? If yes, when will the flight resume? The management of AirAsia will be monitoring and reviewing the case. As of today, we have temporarily suspended flights between 23/11/09 and 31/1/2010. Flights are likely to resume anytime between the first half of next year pending assessment of the current situation.
3.How will AirAsia compensate the guests who are affected? Affected passengers will be given a full refund.
4.How has the affected guests been notified of the suspension of the Kuala Lumpur- Tianjin route? Guests have been notified via email, and sms notification has been carried out.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and we will keep everyone updated on this. Thank you for your kind understanding. Airasia has just cancelled the flight and planned to just get away by just refund. MOst of the customer bought the ticket at promotion price, how can they possible buy another at the same price??? Airasia is starting to loose their mind. Or maybe they are to caught up with the 1Malaysia F1 team?? This post has been edited by Gorila_: Nov 7 2009, 11:42 AM

QUOTE(cshong @ Nov 27 2009, 11:33 PM) Really? I'm interested to know about that. Would you mind to ask your relative where the news come from, or where he/she heard, or how he/she know? But, even if this is true, we should expected that to be happen, because AirAsia still owe MAHB RM65 million airport tax. He is a frequent passenger to Beijing. from where he hets the information I do not know, the reason he tols me about this is because I told him i wanna fly to beijing by AA (which AA cancelled the flight completely until Feb). AA stated that its because adverse weather. But from my relative, its because of airport tax. So tianjin airport barred AA from landing for 2 months... Feels cheated once more, kept hiding away from responsibility.

QUOTE(tishaban @ May 31 2010, 05:50 PM) No lah, the airline themselves bring water, juice, milk etc. in plastic bottles, cartons. If those burst the cabin would be a big stinky mess Luggage area may not be pressurised, unlike the cabin... If the cargo area somehow "leaked", then I think the water bottle will blow.
