Whole M'sia is calling AA & MAS now to change flight..for sure u got stuck-lah....why not go online & change? but if u are buying economy promo...forget about it..the T&C as stated in AA specifically mentioned that all promo tickets are fixed & no changes allowed

True, only if you purchase the normal ticket, and not their promotional tickets (like the 1million free seats thing). If you purchase those promo stuff, you can't change it. And even if you bought the normal ticket, there is a charge of RM50 (not sure 1 way both ways) incurred should you change the ticket

although i like air asia very much because of their low price but i must admit i also hate their phone customer service. I need to wait a looooonggg time before can get their customer support online. Air Asia really need to improve this.

The whole purpose for it is to actually encourage ppl using the internet instead of the phone.
That's why their call center is small and got fixed operation hours.

Phone is deemed as secondary for them. And looking at the current situation in Thai, of course the lines are packed.

Am experiencing the same thing. I called endlessly. I walked in to their office too, but they gave me the same number.

There is a policy of 48hrs grace period to change your tickets before departure but i told the counter noobs that i have been calling for the past 48hours but no one is attending to me.

I am losing my RM1440 GoHoliday package by the minute now as i am schedule to fly tomorrow.

Sawadikaap you Thai noobs!

First of all....

the Emergency thingy in Bangkok will not affected the tourist. Its their so-called family matter....just dont join the crowd...

Second...

AirAsia are famous with the NO-ONE-ANSWER-THE-CALL in their call centre one...so forget about it la...waste ur time and money..

never called airasia before, but 1 week ago i called MAS because i encountered some problem while booking the ticket online... just like what you experienced, the recording machine kept telling me the line is full and listen to all useless advertisement for 10 minutes or so on...

by the way, i read in the star 1 or 2 days ago... there are many malaysian who stayed in bangkok wrote to the star, and most of them said nth really happen and it's safe and calm.

FYI, i just called and confirmed with AirAsia... they didn't provide any alternative plans for those would prefer on the cancellation due to Bangkok's situation still remains unknown. The only option that they have is postpone my flight, and this subjected for administration fee cost RM160 (not sure its per flight/ per person). Refund only available on the airport tax (subjected for process fee), but not on the fuel surcharge and administration fee

I do understand, it's not fair to judge BKK not safe for travel - but most of us (who cancel it) just didn't wants to take any risk at all. This is just a 2 cents information to all who wants to cancel their flight with air asia... Cheers

I have to agree that Air Asia tickets are cheap and affordable, but if you encounter any problem, that's it!!! Their after sales sales service really sucks...

I had booked myself a trip to Bangkok in Sept (that was during the time of the emergency). But due to the emergency, decided not to go, tried calling Air Asia KL hotline to postpone the trip..... called from Monday (my flight's on Friday), can't get through until Thursday.

I was actually calling from my office, thus leaving the speaker on while doing my work.... the stupid advertisements and "our customer services officers are busy etc etc etc......" Since morning till evening, at least a few hours each day.

Finally I got though on Thursday. The customer service lady say sorry, its now within 48 hours from your flight, you cant postpone. Quarrelled with her until they finally relented and gave me a credit, but not before deducting 70RM for admin fees. I accepted.........

I tried rebooking a new flight with my credit last week. Again, cannot get through, from last Thursday till yesterday Monday. Extremely frustrated, decided to try calling Air Asia Thailand instead. Got through after 40 mins on international call (at least I got through). Went through the usual steps of booking my flight, and confirming using my credit. Then came the bombshell.... please advise us the password for the credit.??? What password??? I was not told of any password when I received my credit??? Again the pleas and begs, and another bombshell came.....

Sorry, if you have no password, we can't assist you. You have to call Air Asia KL to resolve it!!!

OMG, I exclaimed loudly!! Girl, precisely because I can't get through to AA KL at all, thats why I called AA Thailand!!!

After all the hassles, and putting on holds again, and pleas and begs again, finally got my booking right. The call was almost an hour.

Trust me, I will never book myself with Air Asia again. Any savings will not compensate me for the telephone bills and high blood pressure and displeasure I incur with AA.
