As a budget traveler, I might not have been able to go to places like Bali, Jakarta, Singapore and Hanoi (best trip of my life) with my gf of 8 yrs (now fiancee smile.gif if not for Airasia. We have been together since high school and both of us are not that well off. We have plenty of memories and airasia has played a big part of our journey together. We cant really afford to go far from our dear Malaysia (small currency) but air asia makes the nearby countries reachable. Sure we had some delays and all but we pay like that we get like that. I'm ok with that.

I think AirAsia is great in catering to the Msians and taking what we want into account. They also allow us to express ourselves and let them know how we feel, like thru the blog we can write our experiences. Why dont we start giving suggestions here be it good or bad…as airasia have always looked out for us i think. I would like to give a chance for those whose life has been enhanced by their existence.

this is very true... i'm studying in labuan and my hometown is in kedah... if not because of airasia, i don't think we can afford to go back for every semester break... what's more for CNY holiday which is only 1 week... flying with MAS will certainly burn a hole in our pocket... though i think they still have lots of things to improve in their customer service, overall i still like airasia... will be flying back home this sunday again with airasia... haha!!!

the only thing that i'm pissed off with airasia is they always change the flight time without any notice... have experienced this a lot for the KL - labuan or labuan - KL flight... and when i bought labuan - kl ticket (travelling on july 09) last year, i booked for the night flight... now when i checked again, they only have morning flight, cancelled the night one... and it's 745am!!! i don't want to fly to LCCT the night before and stay there all night long to wait for the flight anymore... so damn tiring and suffering... in the end, i bought MAS ticket for my next sem break trip back home... cost me RM 216 for return trip... a really good deal!!!!

airasia tend to have delay for the night flight... so far, i only experienced one delay and it's a night flight... i wish they added the night flight for kl - labuan/ labuan - kl route again... the morning flight is so unconvenient for those staying at other states like me...

and some of their ground staff are rude and not friendly to the passengers... especially those in LCCT... maybe it's because of the long queue, fussy m'sian passengers and damn crowded check in area.. =p

reason night flights have more delays if because of accumulated delays from its day flights. As its point to point, and they fly non stop with a 20 minutes turnaround, lateness will accumulate and flights that depart in the evening and night will experience delay due to the snowballing effect.

To be on the safe side, if you're scared about delays book your flights that depart early in the morning. And if you're looking to transit, i always take the latest flight that comes to KL, then the earliest flight out to KL.
*
yup, i know about that... but i really hate flying to LCCT the night before to wait for the earliest flight next morning... it's very tiring and troublesome for me to take the latest flight, i'll need to go to penang to depart... LCCT is always so crowded... but they're opening tune hotel near to LCCT... which i think will really help passengers like us...

i bought for a zero fare ticket last year (travelling in july this year)... the flight that i booked supposed to be at night... then now i just discovered airasia had changed my flight to the morning and the route only have 1 daily flight now (before that they had 2 daily flight)...

so in the end, i booked for new ticket with MAS since the airasia time is inconvenient for me... can i ask for refund from them?

Anyone experience this before?

AirAsia System Error???

When i purchased the air ticket, all the time for departure or arrival that i selected was for evening time. I remember i selected 21:00. Then when i finally clicked purchase, the time booked showed as 09.00 morning. What's wrong with it? I have called AirAsia, they just said they can't do anything without flight time change with "charges of RM80 per way"

Damn it, means i have to pay another RM160 per 2 ways plus the increasing fee differences.
I rather buy another ticket again.

mad.gif Feeling damn angry now. I feel like being cheated. mad.gif

maybe it's because the changed the flight time as well... this happened to me many times... they always changed the flight time without informing the customers earlier...

with the cheap price, couldn't complaint much on the seat space, luggage fees, foods etc... but airasia seriously have to train their staff on how to communicate with the passengers... i found that quite a number of their ground staff and cabin crews are quite rude to the passengers sometime... they have to realize that MAS now is also offering a very attractive deal... though their price might still be a little bit higher than airasia... they have to realize that customers are now willing to pay a bit extra for a better service... especially when it comes to needs of dealing with the service provider...

Does AA charge for making flight changes?

I saw this on their website:

Flight Change: Once a booking number has been issued, flight changes are subject to the following terms:

Inside of forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time, no changes are allowed. The charges for flight change outside of forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time are provided for in the fee schedule, subject to the following conditions:

if a lower fare is available, the difference in fares will not be refunded to the passenger;
if the new flight booked is in a higher fare class than that of the cancelled booked flight, the difference in fares shall be paid by the passenger before the cancellation or change can be made;
the change is not confirmed until we issue you a new Itinerary and/or booking number.
changes on route(s) are not allowed.
If I am not wrong, there is no additional chagres (service charge), but ofcox if the ticket is higher, you have to make up the difference.

but i also heard that they charge.

can anyone advise?

thanks
*
yup, they did charge RM 70 or RM 75 for the admin fees (depending on the flight)... plus the additional price of the ticket...

Does anyone know the flights to singapore is boarding and disembarking from front or back of plane?i wanna book my seat for fast exit. so would like to know.  remember go kl from the back right?

thanks.

i think this really depends... sometimes they have both exit at the front and back... sometimes only 1 exit... but maybe you can try to ask them when you're booking for your flight...

i bought it with the insurance in the end... and then i was searching for the return flight (didn't buy it together cause i was just trying my luck searching for the free seat ticket) that one i bought without the insurance.

i was not even 100% sure if i'll be able to travel cause it's still such a long time to go. that's why didn't plan to buy with the insurance. i guess just pray hard nothing will happen if i really can travel.

i guess this is also one of their way to earn money. if i can't travel, my RM 21 will just go like that to them. i can eat lots of foods with RM 21 sweat.gif but, if i really can travel... RM 21 for return trip from penang to KK is soooooooo worth it!!! drool.gif opps doh.gif if i really can travel, i'll have to spend RM 61 already. RM 40 for the luggage fees... but still, very worth it biggrin.gif even taking bus from my hometown to KL also need like RM 40++??
