about the accident picture... how come the airbag doesn't trigger? from the looks of the damage, it has a good probability to trigger...

Regarding the airbag deployment, it is mentioned in the handbook around 2 to 3 pages where the airbag under what condition it will not deploy, so kindly refer to it biggrin.gif
One important aspect for the airbag deployment is that it will only deploy when the undercarriage of the car is hit or collided. So for this particular case, the collision does not hit until the undercarriage, therefore it is not deployed. For one important thing though, the airbag will definitely wont deploy if you crash straight into the back of a lorry(with high backside like those without trailer 1) because the collision will only touch the upper part of your car or worse still straight to ur windscreen level. ohmy.gif So better keep a distance when driving behind a lorry because when the front lorry suddenly stops, there is no ABS to help you, neither does the airbag will save your life. sweat.gif Yes, the bonnet cover is very thin only, will dent if you press hard on it. doh.gif

As for the frontal collision bar, i've noticed that the material used in the SAGA is different from what I saw from SAVVY. SAVVY is using high strength steel for its frontal collision bar, so it is really one of the toughest car available under 40k. While the SAGA it seems that PROTON just use normal steel and it is so soft (from the picture of the accident). Usually the frontal collision bar will not deform when under collision as its function is to transfer the collided energy towards the entire body of the car (more to the A pillar). But the SAGA 1 already kemek like this shakehead.gif shakehead.gif . Quite disappointed. Thus this explains why the SAVVY is more expensive than SAGA and why SAVVY is really a rock solid car shocking.gif

I have my SOLID WHITE M-LINE Manual for more than 2 weeks already. So far the problems are listed as below :
1. The must have front left absorber "kruk kruk" sound when in low speed (0-40km/h).
2. Skipping radio when listening to MY FM. Others radio station is ok though.
3. Front left side fog lamp malfunction already.

Will solve the above problem when doing my 1k service.

To those manual user, the gearbox is certainly rubbery. But once u familiar with it, I dont see any problem or wrong with that. It works really well with short throw and precise input. biggrin.gif The reverse sensor is working very very well (unlike my bro's LMST which sounds crazily shakehead.gif ), for the 1st 30 cm it will have beep beep, then further how many cm continuous beep -- kindly refer to your handbook).

Engine wise, I dont hear any IAFM sound so far (the one mentioned earlier where like airplane sound). The initial pickup of the car is slightly slower, but if you rev higher, it will be quicker ... will only do that after 1k service brows.gif brows.gif What really impress me is its stability when travelling at high speed (above 110 km/h). The car just felt so planted to the ground and it makes you confident to drive faster! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif For your reference, the engine is revving at 3500-3600RPM when at 110km/h. However, the engine is quite noisy at that speed. Wind noise is not that apparent though.

As for fuel consumption, I dont really go to count it since the engine is still new and the figure will not be accurate. Compared to my ISWARA 1.5S Manual, it drinks less oil by quite a substantial amount. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Handling wise is a lot better than ISWARA. You have the confident to accelerate when taking a corner and the body roll is not that apparent (although SAVVY is better!). Steering is a bit heavy compared to HONDA CITY. However, the heaviness translates to its high speed stability !! thumbup.gif

Suspension wise, apart from the "kluk-kluk" noise, it was superb, feels like driving a bigger car (like CEFIRO which I've driven some time ago, not my car anyway blush.gif ). NVH is acceptable apart from the noisy high revving CAMPRO sound.

So, here are some minor questions for the owners :
1. How to remove those red paint on the tyre nuts (for Alloy Rims M-line owners)?

tw i bought mline white manual too, but still waiting. already pass 2 month and counting.. sigh. when did u booked.

Solid White is one of the best looking color for the SAGA, in my opinion la biggrin.gif . So, nice choice for you. BTW, I booked 2 days before launch from PROTON EDAR JURU AutoCity, that is 16 January. i got a friend who book a Blue B-Line SAGA earlier than me but still dont have any news about the car arrival. Since the place i book is the main dealer as well as a 3S center, think they can get car quicker compared to others smaller dealer.

Thanks for your replies rclxms.gif , will complain to SC during my first service next week. So , total 3 complains now :

1) Rusted Steering column
2) Absorber "kruk kruk" sound
3) Front left fog lamp malfunction

I've called to make appointment and wanted them to take note of the parts that need to be replaced, but their reply was "you come first n c, then oni c how." My major concern is that they dont have the spare parts and would require me to take another leave, haiz, stupid SC. mad.gif mad.gif

The engine oil also I will bring my own 1, dun wan to take theirs.
