Mac just has lower possibility to get infected than pc, not zero-possibility. My fren's imac just got infected.

I dont know how vulnerable you on your Mac, or how your download pattern is, but as far as im concerned, i dont even have a single antivirus application on my Mac. Try and tell that to the PC boys. laugh.gif

I don't think you need. Just place extra caution on your activies. My pc is running fine without any antivirus installed, so does my sis' iMac. Though of course, my PC has the higher risk

Because most of those viruses targeted Windows pc more than Mac (Macs are less likely to be targeted because of low market share and thus a Mac-specific virus could only infect a small proportion of computers). It takes more effort to program a virus on Mac which is Unix based. If you were one of those black hats and wanted to get attention so that some company will hire you, you surely choose a OS that is widely used and also easier to attack, right?

What I wanted to know was what was the virus that the iMac got infected with. What did he use to remove it?
