Can a casing such as "PowerLogic M1800X 220W " able to power up a pc ? The psu is bundle with the casing. AMD dual core 2.0 Ghz , 1 DDR2 ram , 1 hard disk , 1 dvdrw ? Is it 220w true power ?

That one is help you to calculate your pc power requirement. It will not tell you which psu is true power or not:)
Of coz, just a reference.

in a word.....DONT!!!!
I am quite sure which PSU u are talking about. Powerlogic magnum 450W max but real power 220W right? It came with the casing of my cap ayam comp and it worked ok with just the sempron n mobo with onboard gc. But the bloody crap piece of **** couldnt even support the system when i added my 7300le. I had to instead switch to an icute cap ayam psu which is now doing the job very well. My advice, get another cap ayam psu at least smth that costs RM40

i'd say it should work on TS' setup, assuming it's just
1. processor 2. mobo 3. SATA drive 4. optical drive 5. RAM
however : don't expect it to work once you decide to add things.
suggestion : get the shop or whichever who sell you the stuff to change the power supply.
the thing is can you stretch your budget a little?

Planing for a budge pc.Maybe even getting a AMD LE.As for the build 1. processor (AMD LE or 4000+ ) 2. mobo ( Price below RM 220 ) 3. SATA drive ( 80GB ) 4. optical drive 5. RAM (1 slot of 1GB DDR2) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Taken from PC depot Most of the hardware are limited to one shop. Can't do anything since the area only have one computer store. I'm still worry whether the Casing PSU is enough for those component as where hardware are limited to one particular shop.No other shop is avaliable or no choice for other casin/psu

The budget is lower the better.Hopefully getting a good casing+PSU together below RM200.Just nice enough to power up a basic computer component. The part I am worry is the PSU.As I know , poor quality PSU will cause instability or random restart and thus will affect the motherboard life span.
Can someone suggest me a RM 150 PSU which is stable ? Lets say
RM 0-RM 100 = ? RM 101-RM 150 = ? RM 151-RM 200 = ? RM 201 -RM250 = ?
For standalone PSU and Casing+PSU

For standalone PSU and Casing+PSU SilverStone Strider SST400 PSU .. The higher the amp rating on +12v the better.. This PSU got 28A x 2.. IF you want Casing + PSU .. Get coolermaster.. I guess the extreme power can already handle ur rig if u dun OC too much.. This post has been edited by Amedion: Mar 3 2008, 08:19 PM
