where he slides his hand very quickly and a sound comes out..
But i dun understand how he did it and i dunno what this technique called..
how to do this and does this require any effects??

erm... put on distortion and high gain. then pick+slide. sure have sound come out. if u are playing clean, its very hard to do tat, but is possible with training

Yeah, it's just a normal guitar with high gain distortion and a slide.

It's a simple slide.
Just barr a fret on the high end, pick, and then slide down.....
Make sure your distortion level is quite high.

if u are refering to the high gain distortion. u can do it with microcube. just put on classic, then max gain, max tone, then adjust volume. tats how i do it. but the gain can be anywhere from half till max

btw wat about harmonic? I cant even get a clear idea wat is it sweat.gif

i nvr try with classic tho... i will try this tonite.. hope i can get it..

A natural harmonic is achieved by lightly barring certain notes/frets and let it ring out......

Artificial harmonics (sometimes known as pinch harmonics) is where you lightly graze the side of your thumb right after you pick a note, ie: pinching it.

But harmonics have nothing to do with the slide technique. You just barr a fret, strum it, and then slide your hand down.

Of course you have to press hard........
Too light and the strings can't buzz......

I tried to press hard on the string and max out the gain
and I did get the sliding sound.. only.. it sounds diff with the 1 in the vid ..lolz.........

i think is again trial and error....... lolz

it sounds not really alike with wat the others do xD mine more like the gain is too big and when i slide my hand the sound will automatically come out doh.gif

im using gsa60. ibanez's. max gain, max tone on classic. its a sure ring. mayb perhaps ur finger is not strong enough? try train with kapok
