look at this video.. at 0:03 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYZp7A8gWqY where he slides his hand very quickly and a sound comes out.. But i dun understand how he did it and i dunno what this technique called.. how to do this and does this require any effects??
erm... put on distortion and high gain. then pick+slide. sure have sound come out. if u are playing clean, its very hard to do tat, but is possible with training
if u are refering to the high gain distortion. u can do it with microcube. just put on classic, then max gain, max tone, then adjust volume. tats how i do it. but the gain can be anywhere from half till max
i think he means artificial harmonic ?? that quite hard to learn too.. hmm.. kaka
back to my topic... i nvr try with classic tho... i will try this tonite.. hope i can get it.. i reli hope i can play that solo ... but i dun hav the tab.. anyone can tab it plz ? lolz
A natural harmonic is achieved by lightly barring certain notes/frets and let it ring out......
Artificial harmonics (sometimes known as pinch harmonics) is where you lightly graze the side of your thumb right after you pick a note, ie: pinching it.
For me, I'm a student of the Zakk Wylde method:
But in order to learn that right, you'll need lots of beer and a fake beard.
