worth it lor...
nice to hold it..
tried once while playing assassin creed...
but i prefer keyboard when playing PC games... laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Depends on which and TYPE OF game. FPS and RTS sure play with mouse/keyboard combo. But action games like DMC4 and racing games is best with gamepad...playing racing game with keyboard and mouse is horrible. tongue.gif

Anyway, i intend to buy one this weekend. What's the best price and where? Thundermatch? How much?

I intend to go to Digital Mall, coz it's not so far....dun like to go KL nowadays.

btw, it can also use with an XBOX360 right? In case next time i buy an XBOX360, so can re-use. smile.gif

i bought it just for play DMC4...totally out of controls if using keyboard...

fps, racing and others..all use keyboard la... biggrin.gif

Why play racing with keyboard? The digital keyboard control sucks. Analog joypad and accelerator works best for racing games, in fact, it plays better than using a Wheel (at least for me).

Hmm...dunno go to Digital Mall or Lowyat later...*sigh* Can i find it in Digital Mall All IT?

Digital Mall quite crap in getting hardware...price is higher and the new stock takes forever to arrive. When i bought my ATI 4850 2 weeks ago, i went to Digital Mall, but cannot find any stock at all...

But i hate the Jam in Bukit Bintang...

use outside charger kid lah ... like sony, sanyo 1 ....
rm 40-50 got liao

You can't PLAY AND CHARGE with those. That's why i hate all these wireless mouse and countrollers...suddenly no battery and have to take it out to charge. Even spare battery also mah-fan...have to charge always. NiMH batteries tend to lose charges also over time. And then you find your spare also dead...sian...

item bought with RM199 at thundermatch...
ALLIT finish stock

Wait for PC fair ler...only this weekend mah..smile.gif RM199 very expensive. I'll rather wait and see. Using PS2 pad also not too bad, except you can't match the exact color buttons of the on-screen guide to your controller and have to figure it out a bit.

use PS3 joy
get blutooth
get software...and google for instruction..good luck...cheaper then M$ joy+receiver

Xbox360 controller is way better for PC....because it's designed for MS platform. More importantly, new PC games will support the XBOX360 controller perfectly just like a console...all the games will show the correct button in the game...ex: DMC will tell you YYY + XXX combo is what etc, with the on screen representation of the buttons. In the control option screen, you can see exactly which button is for what.

If you use PS3 or other controllers, you'll have to do a mind map...square is A, Triangle is Y...etc etc...it is not inituative and just plain sucks.

I bought an XBOX360 controller recently and my PS2 gamepad has been permanently retired from my PC. rclxms.gif

Xbox360 can't directly plug into pc usb port, u have to modify the connector to USB connector. I used it to play Devil May Cry 4, the feeling same as playing in xbox360 console,
very comfortable and good respond too  rclxms.gif
*
I think u mean XBOX 1 controller. XBOX360 controller use USB connector and cross compatible with XBOX360 and PC. XBOX 1 use a round controller head...but internally, it is USB...doh.gif, that's why you can mod it.

Oops...forgot to mention. Wired. Wired XBOX360 controllers are very rare. Most shop sells the wireless version.

How much is it, the price for the wireless XBOX 360 controller, the console one?
*
If you're buying the first xbox360 wireless controller, you must buy the PC VERSION, becoz you need the wireless transmitter. For the next wireless controller, you can buy the console version, which doesn't comes with the transmitter/receiver.

so the best way to use with the wireless is to get rechargable sony batteries?
*
Not neccessary. Just buy TESCO Alkaline...4 biji RM2.90. But if you are heavy gamer, probably better to get rechargeable in the long run. If casual gamer like me, the alkaline will do. My controller still working after 2 weeks for my XBOX360, currently using Energiner alkaline.

btw, just to re-iterate all those questions:

1) The XBOX360 wired controller is THE SAME as the XBOX360 controller for Windows. Can be used interchangebly between PC and XBOX360.

2) Drivers for the controller are provided for Windows version. The console version does not include the CD driver, but you can download from MS website. Drivers only needed for WinXP.

3) For Windows Vista and 7, you don't need to install the drivers coz the OS already has the drivers...you just plug it in and the Windows will automatically setup the drivers.

4) The XBOX360 wireless controller for PC comes with an extra receiver which is a MUST for PC without one(or you won't be able to use it). However, if you intend to get 2nd or more controller, just buy the XBOX360 wireless controller for console because only 1 receiver is needed. For the console, you can also use the Windows wireless controller, without the receiver becoz ur XBOX already has one.
Basically:
Wireless XBOX360 controller for Windows = controller + receiver + CD driver
Wireless XBOX360 controller for XBOX360 = controller only

so even console shops are also stop selling wired one? should get two last time doh.gif
as a replacement, is logitech good? compatible to many pc games?
*
i think i said it before. There is ONLY ONE GAMEPAD you should get for Windows...and it's the XBOX360 controller. It is the DE FACTO standard for Windows gaming, including support and mapping. You can plug in a Logitech, but it's like trying to plug in a PlayStation DualShock to an XBOX.

Hos are you going to remember doing the combo Y,Y,A,X,B,X->Y->A-><-B in the heat of the game using the Logitech with all black buttons and different button coding?? tongue.gif

yeap
to play games at high resolution probably cost you a bomb
will a standard xbox360 only cost you about 1k+-
*
Actually it doesn't. an RM3++ ATI 4850 coupled with a cheap RM2xx duo-core can easily managed all games at least 1680 x 1050. PCs are very powerful and cheap nowadays....but it still can't play Soul Calibur IV, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Bayonette, Tekken 6, Star Ocean 4, Final Fanatasy etc etc. smile.gif
