According to HL bank, the staff told me that i need to bring1 copy of IC and latest 3 months bank statement.
Bank statement here refers to WHAT?Is it i have to print out saving book for the latest 3 months balance?

Below is what the staff told me:

You actually only need to open one account. This account is attached to your trading account, CDS account and Trust account. Kindly be informed that it is not necessary to open a Savings Account with HLB. It is encouraged for the convenience of funds transfer only.

You will only need to attach your latest 3 months bank statement if you are unemployed / retired.

Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to call our helpdesk at 603-21681000. Alternatively, you can send us an e-mail via helpdesk@hlgs.hongleong.com.my

Basically they want to know if you got cash or not. Since if you are un-employed or retired, they want to make sure you got some cash in your bank, just in case they give you trade and can't pay up. So just make a copy of your bank passbook or print out a 3 month statement of your most active account and let them use as reference.

Let me try answer your question. brows.gif
For my case, i go to CIMB bank and require them print a copy of my current account and verified by them of course.
If you lazy to do so, you can print your most recent account detail for your online banking OR directly make a copy for your passbook.

They encourage you to open a current account in Hong Leong Bank and apply it's online banking, as next time you can just online transfer money to your trading account. By the way, they also accept Maybank2u as well.
