and when it comes unlocked, it really does cost a fortune.
take example of Germany unlocked iPhone. it costs around RM4xxx. and for France it's around RM3xxx. but it is not really unlocked afterall (still country-locked)
mmm...also the article that u read is concerning bout Apple US and AT&T decision to stay locking the iPhone to the network, while France's Orange and Germany's T-Mobile already opened up its offering (but with price of premium for the unlocked ones).
mmm...iphone in malaysia? still a mystery. but hope it will arrive finally.
but actually the steep price of unlocked iPhone still justifies the product, IMHO. some people like to use another telco, so basically they r paying more for their freedom.
