Altec Lansing ATP3 volume knob problem, the sound goes up and down!!

my atp3 just 2month old ... whenever i touch the volume controller the sound goes up and down ... when listening song also like that ... how to fix this ? and does warranty cover this ?

my fren vs4121 also have same problem. need to adjust the volume knob to get the constant volume. some pro could help plz

i noted that the vol control of altec lansing speakers mostly can get faulty very fast. my suggestion: don't use the vol control. control the vol thru your comp.
