as usual, flash scene is a delight. but i meant the barry allen aspect of it. not a fan of the flash costume though. even the effect for flash being flash, ermm...... too flashy (pun intended). with the streaks of lightning and all.
and isn't it funny that the man of steel seems to be the smallest guy among all the others? ray fisher is insanely huge. aquaman is also bigger and taller than supe. the super beefed up batman is as well. kekeke....

hhhmmmm...
it's quite difficult to compare the 2 versions.
obviously zs version bested whedon's but that could very well be because of the allowed running time that is so significantly longer. and the comparison is also of one own version vs one's make do with inherited material.
the avengers first movie was super awesome with such grace and equal highlights to each member. i felt zs version almost did the same in terms of explaining each of the member's backstory here. again at the expense of a freaking 4 hours.
the current version of jl gives enough backstory to make everyone coherent. but if this was launch as a movie, i don't think it will do very well either as it's too long with too many unnecessary shots as well. there are far too many lingering shots and slow mo. i.e aquaman going into the sea, what's with the women signing?
then there's still the problem with comparing the members powers. it's widely known that aquaman and wonder woman and superman are strong. but the movie make it looks like both aquaman and wonder woman is child's play to superman.
long story short, this version almost explains every damn thing, but the problem is do we need an explanation for each and every thing?
PS: i rewatched aquaman last weekend. i was genuinely surprised how much i enjoyed the whole movie even though it's my 2/3 viewing. james wan really did an outstanding job.
