why most of the movies launch on thursday?, have u guys notice ?

i just notice this, most of the movies here in malaysia release date are on thursday. any reason why thursday? for example,
CJ7 - thursday (chinese new year) vantage point - 21st feb 2008 which is a thursday as well jumper - 14th feb, Valentines day which is a thursday as well meet the spartans - 31st january, you know which day issit kung fu dunk - 7th feb and the list goes on. thursday is a lucky day?  |

maybe because of the upper states where their holidays are on friday and saturday,instead of the usual saturday and sunday...
