Anything custom built = expensive

Nothing comes cheap. Do you trust the quality of work done by a cheap electrician ? Proper cabling & load on cables, switches, etc ?

Hi TS,

I do not have contacts for cheap electrician and carpenter, but i would suggest to you that to find few electricians & carpenter and get a quotation on the task you require to do. Compare and select whichever the cheapest and select the quality as well... thumbup.gif

I'm staying in PJ area.

Mogwai, is your indonesian friend an electrician or carpenter? He did work for you? Any example of pricing?

Reason I want carpenter is cos there are not many choices of furniture. IKEA is expensive for cheap board quality. Furniture warehouses uses expensive wood eg. rubberwood and design not nice. And custom built fits very nicely in every corner and size/dimension of a house ie. space efficient.

Should I also refer to newspapers for carpenter/electrician references?

my advise: cheap things not good, good things not cheap..
i learnt it the hard way ...
be real careful when sourcing these people, not only work quality is important, after sales also important
