@kazasho,
I don't think ur bro needs to do much; just provide his Canadian address and resend the package to u when he gets it - then again, wouldn't postage and all be more expensive? What about SG? Don't u have friends just across the border?

I was browsing the online Apple Store and noticed some products are stated "Exclusive to Apple Store" - does Apple Store here refer to the Online Stores?

Also, do U think the Online Apple Stores actually make delivery to hotel addresses? *grins*

@tishaban,
Now that is good news; i can order the items online and get them to deliver it to the hotel smile.gif Perhaps I could even get them to deliver it to the Apple Store at the hotel [i went through the list and there's an Apple reseller @ The Venetian Macau!]

Ah well, now will just have to decide on whether i really need the Time Capsule.

Ah here's the problem though. The US Apple Store I've bought from only recognizes US based credit cards, so if you don't have a HK credit card they probably won't accept your order. They check the credit card based on your billing address.

@tishaban,
Now that sure is v unfriendly of them *sniff sniff* Speaking of which, are prices on the US Apple Stores inclusive of taxes? I guess if I'd decided to get the items, I'll have u get them for me, or will have to get beloved to do it, right?!

Speaking of which, when are u back from the USA? And... someone tells me the Time Capsule's rather large - maybe I should get the MyBook instead and save a lot of $

--Added--
Just checked the Terms & Conditions...And Ur right about the HK credit card *ish*

@yawhong,
In order to purchase from the US Apple Stores, U will need an American-based/US issued credit card. It's the same for the HK Apple Stores where a HK issued credit card is needed. I'm not too sure about the UK Apple Store but it probably works the same; U could always get onto the UK Apple Store site and check out their Terms & Conditions [my bet is that U'll need a UK credit card!]

@singleguy,
The problem isn't the local address; it's the local credit card *ugh*

singleguy has a good point, why buy from the Apple Store? I'm sure you can get equally good deals at a local retailer especially in HK, just check to make sure that they're authorized dealers.

tink, I *may* be able to get you what you want. If it's the TC then it should be doable provided I take it out of the box if the box is too big. Those online prices do not include taxes, but look at Amazon or Clubmac for better deals overall.

I ordered my Macbook through Apple.com.sg and I am using my dad's Citibank credit card. So I think as long as you have credit cards from international banks such as Citibank or HSBC then I think it's alright. :-)

Just asked my friend to get a Nano to me from HK. tongue.gif Really cheap compared to the price in MY and SG. Sadly they don't sell Red Nano in the shop because it's only available in Apple Store/Online.

So what I think is if you are not thinking of getting Product(Red), then you can just get it from the authorized resellers there as the price is the same.

P/s: I saw Red Nano on sale in Siam Paragon's True Urban Concept Store, Bangkok but it's more expensive than other colours! rolleyes.gif

@tishaban,
You haven't told me when ur gonna be back. I haven't decided if I am gonna get TC - i could get them when i'm in HK so as not to trouble u but if it's not available at HK i might need u to get it for me *grins* [but again, when are u gonna be back?]

@LeoDaVinci,
*shrugs* You had no problems using an International Bank's credit card; well i suppose that can be attempted. You're right - friend wants the RED Nano and that's exclusive to the Apple Stores (I'm assuming that's Online Apple Stores!). Anyhow, if she's not able to get it through the Online Apple Store she'll just have to make do with another colour Nano smile.gif

Read the terms & conditions of each respective Apple Online Store. You would need a credit card issued by banks of that particular country, and they only ship to addresses within that country.

LeoDaVinci, i doubt that your order will be approved.

The (PRODUCT)red iPod nano, shuffle & iTunes Gift Card are available at both Apple Online stores and brick and mortar Apple Retail Stores. Other shops, not even authorized resellers, are authorized to sell it. This is to ensure that a portion of proceeds from the sales of these items actually go to the intended recipient.

@lailaikatong,
Yeah I read the T&C at the HK Apple Online Store and it tells me exactly what U just said; have no idea how LeoDaVinci managed to get his purchased approved *shrugs*

And I don't think there's a brick & mortar Apple Retail Store in HK - I need to check that out but if i was looking at the right list, it only had resellers *gulps*

I'll be back on March 29th. Based on current exchange rates though, prices in HK are slightly cheaper for the TC, on the order of around RM5-10 biggrin.gif

Nope, there's none in HK... For now, there's only Apple retail in the US, UK, Japan, Canada & France... Australia, China, Germany & Switzerland will have store(s) opening this year.

@lailaikatong,
In that case I might just have to consider getting tish to help me purchase the Red iPod Nano or perhaps trouble stringfellow *grins*

@tishaban,
In order not to trouble u and to give me more time to decide if i really need (i don't think I actually need it!) the Time Capsule, I'll get it when I'm in Hong Kong. Also, if U do decide u need something from HK let me know - I leave 1st thing in the morning on 1st April [No.. it's not an April Fool's Joke]

@cRazYee,
U definitely have a point; especially if it's about the same price. It's what I call penny wise pound foolish *grins* But I'm not out for the iPod Shuffle.... am considering the Time Capsule and best friend did mention she's thinking of getting the iPod Nano (Red) and since her birthday's coming up, I'm considering getting it for her as a gift except no $ sad.gif
