say, vox's DA5 or roland's microcube? they seems the same for me. i mean, what are thier pro and con? which you guys recommended? i mostly play pop and rock n roll. pop rock and such

i've never tried the da5, but the microcube kicks so much ass i dont need my distortion pedal anymore. just picked one up an hour ago

If you're more into classic rock stuff, the DA5 to me has a much warmer tone then the microcube. It has that nice Marshall-esque crunch which to me the Microcube doesn't nail that well. And the cleans area also much nicer.
BUT
For metal and hard rock stuff, the Microcube definitely has much more crunch and the distortion like SweetTooth said, is totally wicked.

yeah, just flip the dial  it has built in effects like chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, delay and reverb and 6 different modules you can mess with

the one with Acoustic, JC clean, black panel, brit combo, classic stack and r fier. jc clean and black panel are clean, while the rest are distorted. acoustic is acoustic

I used to have the same dilemma as you do, in the end I pick up the microcube just because of the price. It's a couple hundred cheaper!

I heard ibanez toneblaster TBX65R is not bad too. I went to a shop and the guy demoed it to me, the amp is very heavy when overdriven.
And it's rm 1000 and below.
It's not practice amp level, possibly gig material already.
If the DA5 is almost 1k, maybe can consider TBX65R.
