I can suggest a plugin call 85L to blur the background naturally. The result is not bad.

Here are some samples from the plugin;

Actually this is a good attempt, abeit not a easy one coz u will get overexposed easily if u set it wrongly. Good one! thumbup.gif

Hope... And not only that... The ultra slim DoF can easily put the main subject into OOF... It might why I would advise at least a 30D/40D if anyone intended to have slim DoF. And becaseu of my camera autofocusing limitation that do not allow me to get reliable success rate... I have to shoot quite a number of them and having every shots refocused to be safe... So far the success rate of f1.2 on my 40D is only about 4/5 out of 10... I bet 5D can increase that success rate to at least 6~7/10!

This shot is also taken at f1.2 or f1.4... but is easier to shoot technically because the subject is relatively bigger...

Why risk your success rate of f1.2 on your 40D is only about 4/5 out of 10...

p/s : use smaller aperture

I agree... It is why I had stop down in some of the pictures into between f1.4~f2.2

But if the subject is relative small, like covering full body... There might be problem because of normal dSLR sensor is good big. So far I only see 1D series can focus on small stuff... cool2.gif
