the only improvement I seen on previous build (11/12/2007) was Ps now support open source plugins dubbed Hydra. if you know c/c++, you can develop your own Ps plugin and share it with the open source community. I didn't get my hand yet on the Internal Beta of CS4 suite, so no comment yet. overall, CS4 beta looks exactly like CS3, except for the Stonehenge splash logo and file timestamps and version are now 11.0.0.0 instead of 10.0.0.0... whistling.gif

Photoshop to get GPU and physics acceleration
QUOTE
So, what can you do with general-purpose GPU (GPGPU) acceleration in Photoshop? We saw the presenter playing with a 2 GB, 442 megapixel image like it was a 5 megapixel image on an 8-core Skulltrail system. Changes made through image zoom and through a new rotate canvas tool were applied almost instantly. Another impressive feature was the import of a 3D model into Photoshop, adding text and paint on a 3D surface and having that surface directly rendered with the 3D models' reflection map.

ImageReady has been replaced with Fireworks what.. the new CS4 is concentrate to streamline all UI to have the same look and feel. And also concentrating the stability and performance issue on both Mac and Windows. Heard that the new Photoshop CS4 is now in internal beta, will be using GPU so applying filter to large image file is a lot faster.

Even though Ps CS4 is in internal beta, it's been leaked for long time, and there's no significant changes to it, but at Adobe Labs, you can find Dw, Sb, and Fw CS4 beta...
