im using belkin router modem integrated for almost 2 years already. Works fine. With lifetime warranty and cheaper than LINKSYS, its definitely a better deal.

I heard if I use cable to connect to my ps3 it doesn't matter what router I use. Is it true?

My linksys WRT54G V7 which bought yesterday keep DC on PSN this afternoon, then i have to reset the router to fix it..
I already did all those portforwarding and stuff.
Then i change from channel 11 to channel 6 it seem it work fine now but the connection become slower..

I wonder if i should try the dd-wrt custom firmware..

Try to keep your router off anywhere near a wall.

Changing channel doesn't mean much, your neighbours might also be using channel 6 as well. So try to play around with the channel. Also, try to keep any 802.11b off your router as well. Other than that, theres not much you can do. If you are using streamyx, try to avoid 60.53.xxx.xxx IP add as well. Atleast for me, I found out that if I'm on that IP, my PS3 will DC frequently and even fail to connect in some cases.

I doubt using custom firmware will help though.

Keep changing channel till i got a best one hmm?
Im not using 60. ip too i guess.

Thanks for the advise.

Found that channel 1 gives me higher signal then 6 and 11 which is 90ish and 70-80ish.

I'm using a Netgear DG834NB RangeMax NEXT ADSL2+ Modem Router. Works FINE on wireless. Mostly default settings. All A OKAY!

My old modem, Belkin Wireless G MIMO ADSL2+ Modem Router. Now, that modem gave me problem every now and then. Sometimes, my ps3 can connect, but the internet connection is all sluggish. Sometimes, it can't even connect.

bro, try disable the firewall setting in the router.... any different?

Use address reservation setting on your router, that way each MAC will only get the IP u set them. No need static, no need headache.

Digging up old thread !!

I never realised TC used DIR-300 also. And i'm also having problems on a few games.

Namely, COD4, have trouble accepting invites, GTA4, GSNLE syndromme, MGO cannot join at all...

Few games works fine...

Could it be my router ??
