u guys subscribe streamyx 1 mb or just 512 ??
im thinkin whether if downgrade to 512 is enuf for surfing and gaming on ps3..

im using 512kb for gaming, so far so good..

im using 512

most of the time 4 people are using the line.
no issues playing online games

Guys. im sick & tired with my linksystems wrt54g..before this its ok then suddenly it starts to pening2 & cant connect to internet. even the indicator shows the connection is working..i keep reset & reset, configure it right as same as before , then it still cant connect to the net.im using my default billion adsl modem in bridge mode.. Now im thinking to buy a cheap working, less hassle to instal & reliable adsl modem +wireless router...any recommended guys?

You go to TMpoint and ask for wireless router. I bought a cheap one there and haven't had any problem with it. Maybe because it's suitable for Streamyx connection.

I used Netgear WGR614. Good signal transmission. I put it in my bedroom upstairs and my PS3 can get around 75%-80% signal in my living room downstairs. Performance still good with WPA2 security.

The in-built firewall is doing a good job. UPnP is activated by default, so it automatically configures the port for gaming, without compromising security.

Even when you hide the SSID, my PS3 still can detect the signal, but SSID privacy still maintained. It just show the AP SSID as an empty value.

No regrets buying it.

On a sidenote: I used a Billion ADSL Modem/Router as the frontline, then routed to my WGR614 and switched to all my devices in my house.

Added on November 8, 2008, 8:10 amDon't worry. Most routers nowadays are easy to setup. Most of the default settings has been set to auto, so you can just plug and play. It's only when you need more control such as security, access control, performance, then only you go in and change the setting.

Hi bros... i have tried everything from setting the static ip, port forwarding. DNZed Upnp, MTU, practically everything. I use to get Nat2 when i was using Izzinet. But after i switch to Wimax i can only get Nat3. I can still connect to psn but can play online for LBP. Anyone here can help me? i am using Axtech WL830RT4

I am also facing the same problem. Previously using streamyx and get nat2, played cod4 without any problem. Today just changed to wimax and get nat3, cod4 stuck at downloading game settings forever. Any solution to change back to nat2?
