If its equiv. to degree? Why should they just put it as degree instead of Adv. Diploma...

The reason is simple... either the module u taking is basic and not reach a limit of degree level or it really meant for Adv Diploma only!!!

Keep in mind... Advance Diploma is TOTALLY Different from Degree!!!
Degree is higher level than Adv. Diploma, if u say d same... den why this Adv. Diploma still exist and claim it as so call or equiv. to Degree Level?!
Thats wat make it a difference that Advance Diploma is TOTALLY Different from Degree!!!

A college can not offer its own Degree, thats why TARC offer Advanced Diploma.

A University can offer Degree, like MMU, UTAR, UNITAR.

And, yes, since JPA saids it equivalent, that it so !!
ACCA/CIMA is not a DEGREE, but is equivalent to honour Degree under JPA system.
So, u might argue than ACCA/MICPA is lower than Degree ?

U know how tough Advanced Diploma IN Financial Accounting (AFA)is, there is always 40-50% failing rates.
And Advanced Diploma in Financial Accounting can claim maximum exemption from ACCA, which some Degree CAN'T even do so.
Even INTI Accouting Degree that course RM 50K can not claim max exemption.
Therefore, since AFA course is recognised by International Board like ACCA. is Malaysia standard higher than this international board ?

And I have to admit that, my TOP UP degree programme is SO MUCH EASIER than Adv Diploma..

u cannot use the argument on ACCA bcoz ACCA is a professional qualification. regardless if u have any other qualifications, holding an ACCA is a license to practice. this is the reason why ACCA is recognized as an honours degree. all other professional qualifying degrees have the same recognition from JPA.

advanced diploma, on the other hand is recognized as equivalent to a general 1st degree. it does not carry any professional qualifications. JPA recognizes it as a degree so that u can get higher pay, not bcoz u could perform as a full qualified professional with the same degree.

That is so not true.
Some Adv Diploma is equivalent to Degree even though u didnt get a Degree.
Some Adv DIploma is not really a Degree which i agree (such as those adv dip with only u can get in 1 year).
If i'm not mistaken College CANNNOT confer degree to student. Only University can do so.
FYI TARC Com Science Adv Diploma consist of 2 papers for each subject.
So, during exam, morning u'll be sititng for external paper (Degree from US) & afternoon u'll be sitting for Adv Dip paper for the same subject.
At the end of ur 2 years, u'll get 1 Adv Dip from TARC and 1 Degree from US university.
IF u still wanna get another degree, u can top up 3 months @ Liverpool Johnmoore University in UK.

in that case, both A and B will get the same salary because of ACCA. as i've mentioned earlier, ACCA is a professional qualification and it is an international standard. so once u pass ACCA, it doesnt really matter which path u took, bcoz all the industry cares is ACCA and nothing below it. so if guy A took the fastest route straight after SPM and acquired his ACCA by 21, while guy B took some other course, changed into something else, and finally decided to take ACCA by 35, both of them will get the exact same salary, assuming they both start at the same time and had zero experience.
